Wot Hotels

Sorry to give this one a bit of a bump, but I used the mystery hotel for a trip to Perth for the Western Derby in May.

Couldn't say no to $100 a night for one of the 5-star joints, turns out to be the Parmelia Hilton :D

Saved $100 a night off Wotif's rate, and an extra hundred off the rates I found at other services. Stoked.

They change from time to time so the bump is good :p

For the record this weekend the wot 5 star on the gold coast is the international, not many hotels have a swim up pool bar.

Done wot hotel 4 times and have been very happy three times and "ok" once...

Once it was the Crowne plaza in Canberra for $140 a night for a quite decent room... enjoyed that stay!

Sorry to bump this again, but have found a few good "mystery" deals with Wotif recently in Perth and Adelaide. Rendevous in Scarbourough is always easily identifiable and recently had some of our guys staying there for $100 a night.
Would be useful if others can put a name to a mystery deal in other centres. You do need to watch out for the T's and C's though.

One I stayed at recently after the $20 voucher give away was the 4* wot hotel at Port Douglas. Was already thinking of staying at the Mercure Treetops to see how the refurbishment had left it. Came up for $90 as the wot hotel special a day or two before, so $70 in cash was pretty good. Alas nothing for A-Club but their program sucks anyway. :)

Eyebee, Mind sharing what the adelaide Wot special was?

It was the Grand Chifley in South Terrace. Had a quick look and is still listed as a mystery deal. Look for the 4 1/2 star with the Exec refurbished rooms on floor 9-11.
I'm fairly sure that is still the same one.

You can get the new Crowne Plaza for $133 typically at the family and friends rate, if that is more to your liking.

BUMP!

The Wotif Mystery hotel for Launceston is The Sebel @ $119 during November. It's actually really incredibly easy to limit this one :D. works out to be 1/3 off the wotif rates.

Just booked a couple of rooms - the extras kill you though.

Unsure what the $99 one is - didn't really look to be honest!

Just booked 5* Wot Hotel in Southbank, Melbourne for 30 June - $191 plus booking/card fees. As I was 99% sure before I booked, it turned out to be Crown Metropol - standard rate for the same night was $445!

Saving isn't anywhere near as good if you book 30 days in advance - normal 30 day advance rate is $217.
