Looking at my Woolies offer of this week it says buy 4 or more Select products get 200 bonus points, does this mean if I buy 8 i'll get 400 points and 16 I'll get 800 etc.?.

I'd still like to know the answer.

Whether you buy 4 or 40 items, you'll only get 200 points. Your offer has a maximum.

thanks for clearing that up, the offer is different for some. at least now don't have to buy cat food for the cat we don't have:)

I was in the mexican section of a Woolworths this morning and found the Select taco seasoning at $1.49 or there abouts. Has this gone up or was the previous price one of those extra special extra simple promotions? If I get the Select offer I'm going for the select jelly.

It was half price the week where any purchase of select products x 2 got 100 points (part of a catalog promo, not a targeted promo)

Hey Joshua,
Did your points post for the targeted offer you received on June 25?

Yeah,
I get the standard EDR discount but have only had 2 offers in the last month. meat over $0 and something else insignificant.
I have however found out how to get 3% cashback on EVERY purchase from all Woolies outlets. A very exciting new system........

I haven't reread the whole thread but I vaguely remember Joshua saying something about travelling soon. Perhaps he hasn't had a chance to check his points balances. Another member who has posted on the thread also got a June 25 Select offer. I wonder if his points have posted.

I haven't seen anyone mention any decent select offers this week but just in case there are any out there, I thought one of the specials starting on Wednesday might be useful.

Woolworths select tomatoes, Corn or Seed Beans 400-420g 79 cents each. It's not as good as the Select Jelly if that's still on special but I thought I'd mention it anyway. If anyone gets an offer next week then this special would still apply on the Monday and Tuesday. This is from Page 20 of the new catalogue.

oh,, I forgot to thank Joshua for the inspiration to do the trolley run,, well it wasn't really a trolley run, more a click and call run..
first question.. total outlay $2070. which, when I take into account the tax deduction is a nett cost of $1138.50
second question,,, 3000 cans,, which at 100 points should equate to 300000 qff points
Joshua,, I have called the lost cats home to let them know that the donation is being delivered to them and is in my name so that they are aware of it and don't think that woolies has made a mistake with the delivery address.. they are also sending me confirmation of the donation which along with my receipt should be enough to appease the ato..
I have to say, that once I had explained to the supervisor what I was doing, she was very helpful, she actually went into the system and changed it so that I could order the quantity that I wanted to, and changed the delivery address on my profile.
and yes,, it's a win win for all concerned.

This is a really brillaint idea; however, I fear that you may not be able to deduct the donation for charitable purposes. The ATO requires a receipt for the amount donated from the charity itself (charities go through accreditation processes) and I don't think a receipt from a third party, even if the donation is made to an eligible charity, would suffice.

You could speak to an accountant but that's what I have been told before by mine.

It could be worth risking it and IF you are audited, you would have to pay back the deducted amount plus an admin fee (usually about 10pc). But you'd be on their list for targeted audits in the future.

An alternative is of course that the charity may be prepared to issue you with a receipt equivalent to the amount you donated, if you show them the receipt for the purchase with Woolies.

If a baked beans one is released....I am so doing this!
I have the space, the cards and the time....bring it on!

PLANT,, it doesn't have to be baked beans... the illusive "buy any select product" is the holy grail, as you just search for the cheapest product and buy up big.

But I like baked beans trolley run GOD! ;)
When will I these "select offers" offers?
Do I need to do a shop to get targeted?

I don't shop at woolies all that much, so I can't tell you how they choose which offer to send,, all I know is that one day the EDR gods will look down upon you and send you the mystical offer.. just pray that when it arrives you notice it. ;)
