WOW Select Trolley Run

Holy MOG, Joshua. :o

Should I ask how many, how much $ and FF points?

I count 240 cartons, assuming 100 per carton = 24,000. Assuming you had to pay $0.69 per packet (no discount for volume :o ), that's $16,560.

As for FF points, I calculate it will be 1.2M

Awesome stack you have now and well done on taking the offers and extracting maximum value.

l… sigh, but that is life. I am still happy with the haul.

In Conclusion

I never want to go inside a Woolworths again.

…but the equivalent to of one and a half return JASAs to Asia is worth it (along with the SC to go with it!).

And of course if you can donate at the same time as making points then life couldn’t be much better in the consumer society we live in.

Hopefully I haven’t ruined it for others, but honestly I don’t think they see it as a bad thing – they moved a lot of stock from this offer and I will look forward to doing a better job next time. Hopefully this has helped, I know when I started my main concern was nobody else has done similar and I was throwing good money away.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone, was a lot of fun had doing this.

Ahhhh..reading this thread brought back some fond and some painful memories;)....and very reminiscent of my own large Points Run. Thank you for the great read.

Like you I refined as I went.

Like you....it is "seize the day". Few do, but those that do gain their reward. And I am a dedicated Points Runner now, anytime the maths stack up I indulge.

My Everday Rewards Run was my biggest. But I have had several other hundred thousand pointers.

I am just indulging in this one in a smallish way.

I am in awe!

Even if I did get the offer, I don’t have the money to do anything like this, but if I did… boy would I ever, charity and points, perfect combination :)

Who’s going to start your Wikipedia page? :p

Keep shopping Princess and we will be in awe of your packing skills. Picture required with US goodies.
Shintaro10x and I have a Wednesday plan in Adelaide this week so we are hoping for inspiration over perspiration!
It is tough trying for the top rung in AFF.

Thanks for last night cove, really good to catch up for the much needed tactical discussion since so much competition in these forums these days...

Still totally amazed with Joshua's massive haul ;)

So Joshua has just peed further than the Pudding Guy? If you are right, he's total haul is 1,342,500 points v 1,253,000 for Pudding Guy.

I realised that Markis10,, but don't specials normally run from Monday to Sunday??
maybe i'm showing that i'm not the shopper in our house??

No, they finish on Tuesdays or Wednesdays depending on what sort of special they are!

For the boys & girls currently doing these beautiful trolley runs - you can maximise the feeling of happiness that you get when donating the product for worthy causes!

Woolworths are currently running a promotion for schools with their earn & learn sticker promotion 2012 - Woolworths - About Earn & Learn 2012

Your local school/P&C would be very happy to receive a giant haul of stickers:shock::cool::D

Please post cost (exc luding any tax advantage) vs FF point earn!:shock::shock::shock::shock:

LOL, not hard to work out, cost of product x number purchased = 100 pts x qty. With the specials at 69c being the best but no longer available, 79c is the new online lowest select product - lots of jelly for foodbank!

ok,, in my case, and I don't know about Joshua's offer the outcome was.

$2,070 for 300,000 qff points, which equates to 0.0069 per point. The tax effect is of course of benefit..

cheap points... even if WOW are losing $$$ on this, its a fantastic way to move old stock which otherwise may have been thrown out...! I also have a theory here that with these offers the "buying" power of WOW on "select" & "Macro" items is improved by bigger volume which in turn lowers the price, I think the main plan here is to increase the percentage of their brand name products within their stores, this being the case then the "points" game many are playing at the moment may actually be improving their long term bottom line...
