Hi Folks,

based in Europe I have quite a significant amount of flights with BA.

Yesterday I booked some Club Europe Flighs with BA again.
Usually I could reserve the seats in row 1 on the Airbus 319/320/321.

But now it seems that those rows are flagged as occupied.
The whole plane is empty, all bookings are in very distant future.

So it seems that you are not able to access the premium seats as QF Frequent flyer.

So after pulling QF flight numbers, removing the status bonus the access for QF members
it seems an other enhancement.

In Y I still have access to all seats in BA 747. As for the 319/320/321 I never really understand what's going on, sometimes I can get exit row seats and other times I get "kicked out" of the seat a few days after initial selection.:(

Interesting - maybe they are just booked?

For my first booking I did believe that they were booked. I have now 6 flights - all with the same pattern. Whole cabin has not seats selected - only row 1 is blocked. Something happened. Mrs. Tyrolean and Daddy Tyrolean (both SG) never had the opportunity to book row 1 in CE. Now we all have the limited choices in common.

this bossreggie wannabe has problems securing 1A on BA flights in club europe when booking. i found expertflyer seat alerts setup a few days prior to flight would yield approx 70% success rate.

Followed a discussion on FT. It really was a problem. Now it is solved and I could move on 1F again (I prefer 1F as the non-occupied 1E is wider than the compressed 1B seat).

Bump!!
Just booked my first UK domestic flights on BA since the big divorce and pleased to note that BA still recognises my One World Emeraldness by pre-selecting me in my favourite seat : 1A :D

Glad to hear this has been fixed. I'm planning to book some BA flights soon and I want 1A/C when I'm in Club Europe.

Yep, just checked myself on an upcoming CE booking, and I can select the first row.

BTW, who actually wants 1A on BA shorthaul? I always change. Cramped legroom!

It has more legroom than the other rows, that's for sure!

I've had a different and more frustrating experience with BA I'm afraid.

Had a DONE4 and altered some flights after it started, including replacing a LAX-LHR with a BOS-LHR that happens on 4 Jun.

Booked through QF who couldn't allocate a seat for BA202, called BA who couldn't either
No explanation, no nothing and I've watched as all the Window seats have disappeared, with BAs advice that I should be able to select at T-24.

First World problem I know, but is going to be my first CW experience and was keen on the window seat for privacy/sleep.

Wish their systems were better, and especially that their (BA's) Call Centre staff gave a s**t

I booked a classic award on BA in F, YVR - LHR a few months ago and was able to select 1A (or any seat I wanted in the F cabin) on the 744. But when I logged on yesterday, thinking of changing to 2 A or K, I am now advised "your flight is not eligible for seat selection". What gives? - end of the JSA perhaps.

I'm on a BA flight this Friday and have selected my seats through the BA website as I could not do it through the QF website. Even now, my seat numbers show up when in QF but it does not show me the seat map to alter. Again, to change I have to go into BA website as I did when I became WP and better seating options opened up.

Ah thanks - I can in fact still select seats via the BA site, but initially I could do it via QFF. It is odd that via QFF I can select a seat on one leg of this booking and not the other.

I never select seats on BA via the QF website, always use the BA PNR and do it via BA.com
