Sunday 10th of Aug finds the red-eye MF813 HGH-MEL (B788 B-2760) with a revised arrival at 13 02, 137 min late.

The HGH - MEL arrival on Sunday 11 August is badly late, as it is expected at 1302 rather than 0945 hours. Aircraft is B788 B-2760.

The 1145 hours back to HGH will be delayed until at least 1415.

MF814, the 1145 hours Sunday 11 August MEL - HGH, departed much later than '1415': it did not take off until 1555 hours, so arrival is predicted at 0007 hours on Monday 12, 247 late.

In Friday 16 August, the overnight FOC down to SYD (MF807, B788 B-2769) should arrive at 1014 hours, 59 late. Fortunately the return flight, MF808 has a bit of a buffer, being scheduled to push back at 1115 hours, so it may be only 15 late in departing if all goes well. This route is only thrice weekly.

Sunday 18th of August finds MF813 HGH-MEL (788 B-2760) with a delayed arrival at 12 11, 146 tardy. The return leg as MF814 MEL-HGH is predicted to arrive at 22 02, 117 min behind.

MF803, the 2200 hours redeye on Thursday 22 August 2019 did not take off from XMN until 0011 hours on Friday 23, so arrival for B788 B-2761 should be at 1059 hours, 104 minutes late. This thrice weekly returns as MF804 at a scheduled 1120 hours ex MEL so it is likely today to push back at about 1215, all being well. Once again because this airline has a greater than minimum turnaround scheduled in MEL, it can hopefully gain a bit of time on the ground, meaning the return trip may not be quite so delayed.

Much earlier on Sunday 2 February, in response to the ban on non-citizen non-permt residents (unless with immediate family) entering Australia, MF813, the 0945 hours scheduled MEL arrival overnight from XMN was cancelled. So were a slew of other mainland Chinese airlines' flights.

The arriving MF803 on Monday 3 February (due in to MEL at 1030 hours, ex XMN) has been cancelled as coronavirus bites.

MF807 from FOC to SYD, the 1015 hours arrival has also got the boot.

Continuing with coronavirus-related cancellations, MF804 on Wednesday 5 February is not operating. This is the 1230 hours MEL up to XMN.

MF814, the Thursday 6 February 2020 scheduled 1145 MEL - HAK - XMN has been cancelled.

Not all mainland Chinese airlines' flights are being cancelled. It varies daily, but in general, it seems the majority are not operating.

On Friday 3 April 2020, MF803 is one of very few international flights still operating to Oz as B789 B-1356 wends its way southeast, arrival being suggested 33 late at 0948 hours in MEL for this flight ex XMN.

The ongoing severe restrictions on international passenger numbers in SYD and BNE (inbound even worse to MEL; no one allowed) have resulted in few international flights.

On Thursday 16 July 2020 during coronaviurus, MF802, an 1115 hours midmorning SYD - XMN has been cancelled.

MF802, identically timed to the previous entry, was also cancelled during the pandemic on Thursday 6 August 2020.

MF has resumed operating flights to Oz (weekly to SYD) but on Thursday 10 March 2022, MF801 from XMN to SYD (B789 B-7838), scheduled in at 1045 hours, did not arrive until 1716 in the late afternoon, 391 minutes behind schedule.

MF802, the 1245 hours from SYD back to XMN took off at 2011 with arrival suggested as 0155 hours, 395 late.

Thursday 15 December 2022 sees MF801 from XMN down to SYD (B789 B-1566) not expected to arrive until 1045 hours, half an hour behind schedule.

MF seems to be the only mainland communist Chinese airline operating passengers flights to and from Oz.

On Wednesday 28 DEcember, MF801, the 2230 hours XMN down to SYD (B789 B-1567) took off early at 2235 but despite this, Thursday 29 arrival is estimated as 37 minutes behind at 1052 hours.

B789 B-1356 on MF803, Tuesday 10 January 2023's 2130 hours XMN to MEL was airborne on time at 2148. Despite that, Wednesday 11 arrival should be at 1001 hours, 31 late.

On Sunday 7 May 2023, MF804 (1120 hours MEL to XMN) took off on the dot of 1400 hours. B789 B-7836 should arrive at roughly 2110 hours, 135 minutes tardy.
