Xmas Fesitivities 2013 (A non AFF event)

I just read about your the mid year version of this. It looks like a fun event, and a great networking opportunity.

I'm still trying to decide if I can commit to it. I've been to many of the past events, and I would dearly love to go to this one, but I just can't be sure yet. I admit that the super special secret event has me intrigued - my mind is working overtime coming up with the possibilities!

I am locked in. Have flights and hotel. Awaiting news of "another event" on the Saturday morning. And I am led to believe that there is some controversy about this? How is this so?

I don't think there is any controversy about the special event, I believe it is a bit hush, hush at the moment as the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed.

More than likely will be out due to xmas trading and family commitment.

I'm in and looking forward to it. Flights and hotel booked.

Thanks for the reminder HVR, I still have to book my flights.

Might be worth a thread confirming flights etc.

Difficult for me to commit right now. But I still have a free virgin flight to use up.

Indeed, these events are a good opportunity to use the AmEx free flights given that revenue fares are usually never on "sale".

As per my posts here there and everywhere, I can't commit either way currently. December is usually a manic period for me, and I would prefer if this event was in Melbourne...

I've already committed, having used some Qantas voucher credit during the uncharacteristic sale they had for travel in the black season.

Wowsers - looks like the cream of the AFF world are going to be there!

It's usually a very good time - there are lots of people that you've been reading over the years that come to these!

It seems that way. I've had a look at a few of the social events recently, and this one seems to have the who's who of the AFF scene.
