YMMV, though I guess pretty much everyone who is already a member is Platinum.

There might be a number cruncher in the loyalty department scratching their head confused why the number of plats have suddenly jumped.

BTW - I took advantage of the free plat offer in Dec, after taking a free gold offer a few months before

So after your first 12 months having not achieved enough stays to remain Platinum do you drop to Gold or do you lose it altogether ? I was already on Gold before Platinum.

I had a hard landing to no status, I had zero stays and didn't qualify.

The original link on this thread is no longer valid. I changed the URL description from promoCode=CITIBANKPLAT2011 to promoCode=CITIBANKPLAT2012 and now offers hope. I'm already Accor Platinum but maybe someone can let meknow if is is successful in upgrading regular membership to plat.

first i went here : A|Club & Citi Bank

then when I clicked onto the "Join the A|Club today" it was that link that caused me issue and I changed to 2012 date.

Thank you. The new link worked nicely for me - I didn't have to enter any promotional code and am now a platinum member.

I have a few bookings already made (some advance purchased and paid for) with Accor group hotels. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can link these existing bookings to my new account (the site offers no clues) Or should I just give my number at check in?
