You know you are a frequent flyer when ...

Crossing a road always involves looking both ways... and then both ways in the reverse direction... and one more time...

The first time we were in Orlando back in 2008, the nightly news carried the story of an Australian tourist that was run over by a truck when she stepped off the median strip into its path. Police were dumbfounded as to how she could have soberly done it. Scared the hell out of me.

Aren't the q-tags FF member-specific? Besides buying them off eBay is sorta cheating. It's like putting a Rolls hood ornament on a Hyundai or Skoda :)

No they are basically an oversized microchip (like in your dog/cat). Its number is only scanned when you check-in and is linked to your PNR for that flight. You can give the Qtag to anyone.

When you're planning a month long holiday around EU and align your return flight to AUS with your imminent drop to PS from SG. :(

Isn't that a bit of a contradiction? "You know you're a frequent flyer when".....you're about to drop from SG to PS??? Unless of course you're still doing plenty of flying albeit with a different carrier/alliance.

Will we see a new moniker called 'Ari Silver' soon? :p If orange is the new black maybe silver can be the new gold.

When you're in Brisbane and "Home" calls and you don't answer because you think you are in Thailand and will be charged roaming rates.

When you are back from your 7 week holiday, on the road again with work.... wake up in hotel room, thinking "which country am I in?" and realise you are in NSW. (hubby - not me)

That hurts :P Change of job, say no more. I have the token LTS/QP Life to fall back on so it's not all doom and gloom.

Ari will always bring the Gold!

You have stacks of currency from multiple countries in plastic bags sorted by type.

Yes, I do that too. But I also save the Qantas envelopes for The UNICEF Change for Good program, and when I come across some cash from a place I know we wont go back to I put it in the envelope and try to remember to take it with me on our next flight !!

You discover that Qantas have begun uploading the Radio Q playlists to Spotify and it excites you because you don't have to do it yourself anymore :embarrassed:

When you put your foreign change in the change for good envelopes but still have a set of ziplock bags full of foreign notes because you'd rather save it for the next trip than lose out twice on exchange rates.
