You know you are a frequent flyer when ...

I have no sympathy for those who are complaining about planning trips a year in advance.
Back to back xONEx tickets will push the planning to at least 18 months if not 24....

Just wandering

....when at 1pm you just think "fut it", I don't give a stuff what time it is here, - I'm having a rum and going to bed

Ohhh yes replaced Rum with Cognac.

You have favourite seats in several lounges around the world.

You have favourite bar stools and order "the usual" coughtail in several lounges around the world.

One of my classics - used to stay in the same hotel for many weeks and also came in and asked for a G&T in a tall glass. Got to know the barman/waiter very well. One night having dinner and he walks past and he said what are you drinking - I said G&T and he said but you always have a tall glass - I said yep but there was a new barman and he was busy so didn't want to make a fuss. He grabbed the glass and said that's not right and 2 minutes later I had G&T in a tall glass

.... you are so used to the travel lite ethos, that a family holiday brings on hives and cold shivers!

I say this in a desperate bid for some mental health remedy from AFF, as I sit in a hotel room trying to come to grips with 40kg+ of luggage! .... oh, and that is just me, +1 has similar in Brissie!

In an attempt to bring some sort of dignity to this exasperating dilemma, I offer the feeble excuse that I'm carrying food for a whole trekking party and educational supplies for many desperate schools, but ... that hasn't stopped the shakes! 40+ kgs, I'm feeling like Zsa Zsa Gabor (so to speak).

I am of course lucky that PX has accepted my upgrade bid to J of AU$150 .... bargain given the luggage allowance increase. I bet they think twice before accepting a minimum upgrade bid from me again!!!!!!

So I will be sitting pretty in J, thinking of all the excess baggage costs I've saved .... right up until +1 realises I've been able to upgrade my tix and she .... well, hasn't! No matter what I do, I'll still be up to my neck in it!

I'm sorry, I have nothing to say.

... when you ask if you can guest someone into the F lounge outside the guidelines and they say you can and ...
... when the guest arrives an hour later they are just waved in when they mention your name.

You have the magic touch it seems Jess, I still vaguely remember when you somehow managed to convince the mel j lounge staff to let 4 or more adult guests in during one of the aff events (i think it was the launch of syd-ool). :D

Was lucky enough to get 3 guests into the AKL F cupboard once. I was extremely thankful. The next week when I was back, a very pleasant comment, "just yourself this time!"

Well here's a new one for me ... and one I'm guessing I should be ashamed of rather than proud. :(

Stopped to pick up my duty free pre-ordered grog and had the lovely lady, unprompted, pick mine off the shelf and say "here you are Mr. Swanning_it". The whole queue behind looked at me with that look of "tut tut, he's obviously an alcho"

To make matters worse, they're a relatively new duty free franshise and a few weeks ago through a different brand duty free shop at a different airport, the lady said to me "we need to get rid of this old gold card, you're actually diamond"!

I have an AA account, but perhaps it's a different AA I need to be talking to! o_O

.... yesterday getting on a tram in Melbourne I ‘tapped on’ using my QFF card....

Wonder how many SC I’ll earn :)

To be fair to myself our Myki looks very similar to my QFF card in colour!

I used my IC hotel room card on London busses for three days until I realised that the beep and red light meant it wasn’t accepted. Driver didn’t care.
