A few phone camera shots for anyone considering Royal Jordanian as a carrier.
Needed to get from BKK to CDG. RJ was very well priced in J.
Let me start with the good: The food throught the journey was excellent. A good choice of mains and plently of grape juice (red, white & bubbles).
Service was 'cool' but efficient on the BKK to AMM leg and they never rejected any request for water or a bubbles top up. The seats are angled flats on the BKK to AMM leg and then standard recliner style on the AMM to CDG stretch. Both seats were very comfortable. Both planes were young and clean. The Amman lounge is very good (but not the toilets) The lounge itself is comfortable (with a pool table) and plently of space. There is also a well stock bar.
The service on AMM to CDG was very good and the CSM was very friendly talking about how she loves Paris etc. Meal service on both flights was a common entree and then a trolly with the mains was presented. You then picked you main protien and selected what veg you wanted. Same for dessert. It work very well.
The 'interesting': The Goon Squad sky marshals. They stick out like dogs b@lls. Ill fitting suits and sitting in the jump seats. But I guess they are there for a reason and are never intrusive. The Amman lounge food was average.
The Bad: The toilets in the Amman lounge are very poor indeed.
I could see the new airport being built and it looks like it will be very nice when finished.
Summary: Would I fly RJ again ? Yes indeed. The price is excellent and the overal package was well delivered. All flights were on time subject to ATC in BKK which delayed our push back by 15 mins, yet we landed 5 mins ahead of schedule in BKK.
