Do you have the luck of the Irish? Buy or gift miles through March 26, 2014, and you’ll get or give a 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% bonus – up to 50,000 bonus miles.* Just enter your Dividend Miles number to find out your mystery bonus.

Our family have 8 accounts, 2 of which have 100% bonus and the rest 75%. Of course the ones with 100% bonus can gift to the others so theoretically all could get another 100k.

yeah... my hear sank when it said 'luck of the Irish'.... only 75% across all accounts here.

6 ACs

2x 100%

3x 75%

1x 50%

Not too difficult to decide which one to use !

What are we thinking here? Buy up if you got 100%, bank for USDM to become AA miles then redeem on EY for 80k o/w in EY F to Europe?

Last I heard they were still saying the two reward programs would remain seperate for up to a year, thats a long time to wait for them to become AA miles when USDM itself joins AA 31st March!

100% on our 2 accounts here. In light of the above, and other current offers (such as Alaska bonus) is this a good offer or am I just being too cautious with all the changes coming via the merger?

Ah, decisions, decisions...

Cheers

Two accts, both 100%, but I have already bought my bonus miles this year, so no go.

Naturally, it all depends on your own situation and outlook but how many miles are "enough" ??

Should more is better or enough is just that, enough.

I have 250K with a plan to spend 150K coming up.

Decisions, decisions..... whether to top up or not.

I am leaning towards a YES, aiming for a 250K by end of March 2014 (as my AA a/c is pretty lean, only 100K in there).

Thoughts ?

Thanks

But I won't get any bonus miles as I have already exceeded my allowable bonus for this year.

The bonus miles received is capped per promotion (promotional period), not annually.

Unless there's something new in the fine print of this promo that I missed....

Same thoughts here

".... Bonus miles will be awarded upon completion of the transaction. The maximum number of Buy and Gift Bonus miles that can be received by one member for this offer is 50,000 bonus miles...."

I got the 100% offer and I have never bought miles or used US in the past, only signed on last year, so it is either random, or perhaps address matching on my AA status, but reading the above posts it appears that some children's accounts have struct the 100% so who knows

50% for me and 50% for my +1.
Oh well, I wasn't planning on buying any more.

25% for my account which bought recently and 100% for the other 3 that haven't.

Received a follow up email overnight stating my 100% in the header! Anyone else get this?

also further up thread someone suggested using the account with 100% to top up that account plus gift to another. Can anyone confirm if that has worked?
