The reservations number is:
+1 800 428 4322

Re: Thai's Airbus A380 set for HK, Singapore, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Paris

Not that number I need the one for Skype it's a bigger number. I booked this 6 months ago now 2 weeks before I leave TG calls me and tells me I have children on a flight in business class and aren't allowed to fly in that class I would have been stuck in BKK I'm very angry

Re: Thai's Airbus A380 set for HK, Singapore, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Paris

Shanye2233, that is the number for skype, just select the USA as the country you are calling, and type in 1800 428 4322, it will be a free call.

You are not explaining something clearly. Children are definitely allowed in Business and First class if they have a valid ticket. As long as there is an adult who is also in the same ticketed class with them.

Re: Thai's Airbus A380 set for HK, Singapore, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Paris

It seems 747s are in the system until at least september/october.

As long as it's normal 747 I won't be too concerned.. and if it the all-series... as long as it gets me to BKK. I can't complain too much!

...only explanation I can think of.

From what I recall, Shayne was travelling F with the wife and kids travelling J ?

Not that leg the BKK to CDG is a 777-300 and TG tells me NO children are allowed in that business or first class cabin .
Why are
people liking this??

I thought that only Malaysian had that ban, or soon to be ban?

No one is liking it mate. Something fishy is going on here. That is the FIRST time I have heard of Thai caring about children in a premium cabin. Who is stating this to you? Thai Airways (call the Sydney office and ask them) or US Airways?

Re: US Dividend Miles Buy/Gift Miles 100% bonus - Cheap way for F/J *A Awards

Thai airways in the Sydney office is telling me I have not yet called us airways I'm still wwaiting for the number

MH will introduce the "child free" cabins on their A380 service. Basically it will be a section of the cabin where children aren't allowed to be allocated in eg. rear upper deck.

Ok, that is really strange. I would call Thai Airways in Bangkok and just ask them if your reservation is all fine.

On the second point, the number to call was already given to you above. Skype is like a normal phone, there are no 'special' skype numbers.

I thought that their 747 F Class was already child free? I'm probably wrong...

Re: US Dividend Miles Buy/Gift Miles 100% bonus - Cheap way for F/J *A Awards

I called Thai in BKK they told me no children allowed in J or F on the 777-300 . They told me to call us airways and get them to re route me when I have already paid for hotels and cars in Paris . Once I call us airways they will cancel my ticket instantly

Re: US Dividend Miles Buy/Gift Miles 100% bonus - Cheap way for F/J *A Awards

Do you have insurance?
Can US Airways be liable for issuing a ticket when they shouldn't have?
Please keep us informed.

Re: US Dividend Miles Buy/Gift Miles 100% bonus - Cheap way for F/J *A Awards

Wow this is the first I have heard of TG not allowing children in J and F for 777-300. Even MH didnt go to that extreme....

Re: US Dividend Miles Buy/Gift Miles 100% bonus - Cheap way for F/J *A Awards

I don't know who is liable and I haven't purchased any travel insurance yet and no travel insurance covers award flights .

Re: US Dividend Miles Buy/Gift Miles 100% bonus - Cheap way for F/J *A Awards

it appears there are no restrictions for children and infants in TG f/c on the 777. you can do a dummy booking on the TG website and select one adult and one child and it returns results for the 777.

I'm just wondering if it is a case of the child having a separate PNR which needs to be linked to an adult PNR? (travelling in the same class)

Plenty of travel insurance covers award flights. But I think US Airways should be sorting this out for you, and buying you revenue tickets on another carrier if necessary.

I think it is pretty poor that TG is not allowing children in J/F, and totally unacceptable that the tickets were issued and you're only being told about this policy now.
