Getting that for 3 Pax for May/June really is some feat, well done.

Mine I had 3 tries, eventually got an experienced operator and was very pleasant to deal with too.

Thought I'd bump this thread with a successful USDM OW booking for two passengers flying J

SYD-HKG-DOH-SAW flying CX,CX,QR departing late April 2015.
TXL-FRA-DOH-MEL-SYD flying AB,QR,QR,QF returning early June 2015

Please also mention total cost in miles plus taxes/fees etc if possible. Thanks

I flew CX J a few days ago HKG-SYD. Absolutely brilliant - easily the best J seat I have ever sat in. New QF lounge in HKG was also excellent.

Currently have MEL-KUL-CAN-KUL-ADL-MEL on hold, leaving on Saturday.

Been trying all day to get through to confirm but keep telling me to call back.

I've been told 90k miles (business) but appears in U fare bucket? Can anyone confirm? Haven't flown MH before on USDM.

Well that was a fun phone call. Rang up to do a simple ticket, miles out of another account (same surname), provide authorization etc and then they still took the miles out of my account!

Agent realised there mistake, spent 20 minutes back on hold and they put the miles back in mine and took them out of the correct one.

And after all that.. I forgot to ask for the QF PNR so I could select seats on the last ADL-MEL leg. Any tips?

All in all 90k miles + ~$250USD taxes.

Your US Airways record locator should have both MH and QF PNR, it's normally displayed at the top of the page on the left in bold blue
If it's not there give QF a call and they will find it based on your name and flight number/date info

Yep it's got the MH PNR... yet it's showing all Economy flights. Even though the USDM PNR is showing U class as I confirmed with operator all in business.

MH PNR is different from Qantas, if QF PNR isn't there you need to ring them

I would call MH and ask if they have ticket numbers, and ask them to confirm the class of travel. It shouldn't be showing economy.

Have confirmed class of travel via ticket numbers and selected seats. All good to go.

Will ring QF tomorrow. Cheers guys!

When looking at USDM bookings on the MH website, it does show that it is booked in economy despite in U class/business. Does the same thing on my mates booking... It's odd

Also can confirm I had a U class USDM booking on MH metal and it said economy on MH site. No biggie.

Had those flights on hold so no tax figures, Anyway changed the booking to the new one below and paid for everything,

SYD-HKG-DOH-SAW (cx,cx,qr) and TXL-FRA-DOH-PER-SYD (ab,qr,qr,qf) .... USD$240 taxes inclusive of booking fee.

Oh wow, that is cool. This itinerary gives me some ideas. A little west of TXL, and I'm home... :)

Booked for the first time Per-Syd-Chc return for 3 people in Business all on the same flight. Was 140USD +50USD booking fee per ticket which I thought was steep!

First successful award redemption made: 2 Pax, J class, SYD-HKG-ICN-HKG-SYD via Cathay, 90K miles each + $50 processing fee + weird one ($114 tax and charges for 1 pax and $144 tax and charges for the other). Ah well, just happy it was successful.

Where is your stop over or destination? You were lucky they didn't try to charge insane fees for the lhr. (Even though this is wrong if it's a transit).
