The Qantas site seems about $50 cheaper than past guest price on Princess. And only $50 deposit. Good deal - except final payment is due 18 July 2017 - a tad early for me. Nov 26 2017 on Princess direct.

Dame is looking at the deck plans (and her bank balance). I keep thinking that for 4 days I can manage an inside :)

Update Dame?

Or are you still in Japan?
No - I'm home. Japan was in November and will be next December - done NZ since then (coincidently on the Golden P as well) - caught up with Straitman on the cruise :)

Oh Dame. :D. I know that past bit but knew you were looking at Japan for Christmas this year. You must think I'm crazier than well, crazy.

Prices on the Princess site are up to what they were when I looked last :(
Need to decide

DOH - no Christmas 2017.:)

Did you use Future Cruise Deposit or just book through Princess on line. Cruise Guru has good pricing but again the 18th July pay by date.
QF seems more expensive for insides but a bit cheaper for the other categories but again early payment by July 18th (that's over 6 months out - a bit rich really)

Maybe we need a new title for the thread? Or perhaps a new thread now that we have a few booked? Just a thought. Well, 2 thoughts.

A tip for anyone else who might want to book a single cabin. IME cruise lines will not always sell single cabins, even at the full 2 person price and even if there are spare cabins for sale to couples or groups. It's probably a breach of anti discrimination laws but whatevs, I've never been bothered to complain. But my suggestion if you're wavering would be to book and then think about it, and cancel before the penalty period if necessary, rather than think about it then try and book and find out you can't book a single cabin even at full price.

I've sometimes thought about inventing a fictional second pax and then just saying at the dock that they're a no show, but I'm not quite brave/silly enough to try it in case I get denied boarding.
