The view or two from my "office"

I decided to have some company, so I'm having a further reviving G&T in the hotel 'bar'.

Hmmmm last night I'm pretty sure I was the only guest here ( Boutique hotel, abt 15 rooms). I think tonight I spotted one other guest, but obviously not a drinker :rolleyes:

The staff are or on the porch chatting in the cool. They look in from time to time if I need a refill.

Yup. Was supposed to be on the 350 last night from Adelaide but they cancelled at 11.00 pm. So we all got redirected onto the 380 out of Mel. Started this journey over 24 hours ago and only as far as Melbourne. Which means - 800 kilometres.

Did they fly you ADL-MEL in J or Y?

It replaces a cascade of 11 locks which used to take half a day to traverse. The Wheel only takes 15 to 20 minutes.

A more interesting view from the QF lounge at LHR.

We had G&Ts downstairs and now something to eat before flying to BUD. It is very quiet here.

Toro is a town and municipality in the province of Zamora, part of the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is located on a fertile high plain, northwest of Madrid at an elevation of 740 metres.

The wild flowers along the roads are something to see. Red poppies, purple wild lavender plus white and yellow flowers everywhere. Very beautiful.

And the town itself is classic wine town known for Tinto de Toro - clone of Tempranillo.

They used wine instead of water in the cement for this tower.:):)
