QF Route PER-FCO

Just prior to CV19, I believe QF were about to introduce a new route PER-FCO which obviously became a casualty. Any thought on when this may now be done, or will it go into the later on box?

Mamma Mia indeed - you wouldnt read about this in Pix. I've been booking flights using AA points for the past 3 weeks PER-DFW-LIS-FCO-PER, and I can get us all the way back home as far as DOH, and then absolutely nothing unless we wanted 30+ hour flights. The date that I have been trying to get us home from FCO happens to be 23JUN22. The obvious next question is - when will it open for bookings, I will be on the system at 2359 that day!.

AFAIK has been open for bookings since the announcement. I seem to recall AFFers grabbing J seats on that day.

Some awards have popped up for late July/early August 2023. Managed to snag FCO-PER-MEL in biz just now for the last week in July thanks to ExpertFlyer alerts.

Nice find. Seems July has dried up however there are stacks of J seats all the way through SYD in August.
