Scoot have started to offer their members specials!

At the moment, it looks a bit like some other LCC websites we know when having a sale.

Ok, I bite...how do you become a member of Scoot? I can see myself having long W/Es in Sin...actually, maybe not as I have decided I'm allergic to flying after having recently done Syd-Sin-Lhr-Sin-Syd in 8 days....oh how I would kill for a cure for jet lag! Princess Fiona has already suggested melatonin!

The $766 special return in "business" from OOL or SYD looks good compared to JQ. Will they match the sale price?

Seat only $88
Seat+bag $110
Seat+bag+meal+seat selection $122
'Business' class $388

Daily flight departs SYD 1250 arrives SIN 1900
However rtn flight from SIN is 0250 arrives SYD 1140

$176 for a weekend away is a nice price flying an ex SQ 772.

I was thinking about this....as the Syd-Sin flight is a day flight, and I can tolerate almost anything on a day flight, the way to go is to the buy the cheap Scoot 1 way to Sin with carry on only, and then use points etc to come back to Syd on a so called legacy airline with meals, full baggage allowance etc

Also, if you book the fare as two one-ways, SIN-SYD is charged in SGD instead of AUD.
So SYD-SIN-SYD for a total of $154!

The Aus BT story has been updated to include seat maps and a black and white photo of a PE seat, also details about seat selection etc.
Cheers

If anyone wants to access this but isn't a member, I wont be using mine. Let me know and I can PM you my email address for access. I already have 2 overseas trips for this year, and I don't fancy a weekend in SIN, especially with 3-4-3 seating on a 772.

For anyone interested, you can pay to book better seats, it was $24 for a seat in the pairs at the rear of the cabin, or $60 for an exit row or bulkhead.

The business class seats include loan of an iPad for IFE,presumably you have to pay for the iPad if you aren't flying business.

I picked up SIN-SYD-SYD for $225SGD all in ('Fly' fare):) AU School holidays too.

The website is light-years better than JQ during a sale (ie you can actual use it :))

Yuk!

That does not seem at all attractive.

Yup. I was half toying with the idea of a few days in SIN until I saw that. Unless you're flying in from Europe, an insomniac or a masochis_, sitting in a seat with a 31" pitch (and possibly no recline) for 9.5 hours trying to sleep will be pretty awful I'd imagine, and it'd take me at least two days to recover...

I'm more tempted by the Gold Coast option, leaves at 9AM for a 3 PM SIN arrival, the return leaves at 10:25PM for a 7:50AM arrival, seems much more civilised.

Not often I see Gold Coast and civilised in the same sentence.
