In TSV on Tuesday (for a Double SC Run of course :)) and managed to snap a photo at TSV airport of the clear blue skies and sent to Mrs Paddy.
She wasn't that happy for me funnily enough!

I've used a jacket once ...
Well you are a lot tougher than me. ;)

Seriously some mornings I am freezing walking down to Roma St Station and other mornings I am just really cold. One thing I learnt about the winter a long long time ago was that it was not a good time to play the tough guy. I like to be warm at all times and keep the body temperature the same.

Pretty cold in DRW at present, an overnight low of 16 had the locals hitting the shops to rug up ;)

Just booked my first ever JQ SYD-MEL return F lounge run - flying SYD-MEL on JQ38 on 12 JUL and back on JQ30 on 13 JUL. I've never seen the MEL F Lounge, so this will be exciting!

Not just London...pretty much rains everywhere I go at the moment.....so watch out Adelaide next week and Brisbane the week after!!!
Thank goodness I leave town on 1/7.Am I avoiding our best known DYKWIA?

 Are we talking about the same city? Jacket, jumper, is not coming off until at least September if not October....
Well at DPO 1600 yesterday it was 9C.Transitting MEL at 1830 6C.Arrived in BNE at 2120 and 18C.The jacket didn't go back on!

I love what you over hear in lounges. A couple sitting opposite me in the MEL J lounge:
"Emirates just bought Virgin"
'Really?
"Yeah 30%!"
'Does that mean they'll become a full service carrier?'
"They've already started with a few planes"

Ignorance. It's everywhere! At least it gave me a smirk :)

Am stuck in transit at BNE for around 5 hours tomorrow afternoon. Anyone around for an afternoon beverage or two either at BNE or somewhere else?
I am here now although flight is scheduled to depart in ~20 minutes.

D'oh. I have something for you, but have been too busy to arrange to meet and thought you'd be in the land of smiles by now (via interesting places). Oh well, let me know when you're back.

I'll be at BNE in around 3 hours. Then another visit tomorrow morning, then another visit Monday morning...

Have been in the SYD F lounge for ~45 minutes by now waiting for a 6:30pm flight that I am hoping will be delayed.

Have already had the salt and pepper squid and the chips. Both are quite nice.

I have also been through all 4 champagne on offer.

Tattinger
Delamotte
Bollinger
Veuve Clicquot

in that order. Surprisingly they have all been quite OK today. Enough of the fantasy world. Need a real drink now. Hope I am not denied boarding later on this evening. :p I don't know how you guys manage to spend so many hours in the F Lounge.

F Lounge is almost empty now. Most people on 3 flights to Asia/Europe have gone.

I have been in SYD F lounge for over 2 hours now and still ~2 hours to go. Definitely bored. The feeling is not quite the same as what it was when I first walked in here back in June 2007 after achieving QF Platinum for the first time.

I have 5 hours there in August… but I also haven’t been in ages, so think I’ll manage the time :)

Managing time is OK but that still does not mean one does not get bored.

I thought I was going to to enjoy this 4 hour visit but clearly I was wrong. Tried explaining it to some work colleagues yesterday and their response of "The only reason you are going to WLG and returning the next morning is you are bored". And as usual we see things in blurred vision. They are right....

That's why if I ever do MR (and it's not something I often do, especially these days when I have a SWMBO to think about:!:) I'll actually make a trip out of it, and spend time at the destination rather than just do P2P flights with quick turnarounds.

That is actually a very sensible thought and sometimes I do not quite understand my decision making process which is clearly flawed and fuelled by my obsession.

The reasons for this trip was it was cheap, get some duty free tobacco for dad, get some extra SCs and points and visit the F Lounge. I overestimated the effect the F lounge would have on me. It is great for spending 1-2 hours before a flight but not 4+ hours.
