-12°C . ouch

It can get a lot colder than that in other parts of North America , Most of Canada with the exception of Vancouver often reaches -40c at some point in winter. With a further wind chill factor of another -10c , within 5 mins one' ears , nose & fingers fell like they can snap off:shock:

Air conditioning is the best thing since sliced bread, that is all.

Surprised I had slipped to 14th, made it into the top 10 but a few users keep posting.

We are building up to it, after the US it's Whistler ;)

The weather in Adelaide at the moment is neutral. Neither hot or cold. Rather weird for this time of the year.

Clock / "weather station" appliance on my desk says the temperature is currently 33.2 degrees Celcius. This is inside the only two-window bedroom in the house (so should be the coolest). Also says (dubiously) that the sensed relative humidity is 38%.

Going to a friend's birthday today at a huge park. I think I am going to be toasted (literally, not in the celebration sense). God, how do you like me - medium rare or well done? :o

The temp gauge on my verandah just reached 39°...so hiding inside with the air- con watching the cricket

England have revised their squad for the fifth test:

1. Stokes

Everybody else seems to be on holiday, be lucky to get past 50 in the first innings.

I'm not sure whether to be embarrassed or pleased that I made the top 20 (just)?

Diamond Princess is blocking our view of Quay and Sailors Thai. The harbour is bathed in warm sunlight for those who are in Sydney. I can see the coat hangar bridge and the little people climbing it.

So I just started peeling an orange and thought 'jeez that peel is thick' - then wondered what % of total orange weight would be going in the bin.

Peel - 120 gram / orange - 220 gram - that's like 35% of original weight is peel - UB!

Isn't that like against Geneva Convention or sumpin?

Navel I am guessing. Easy to peel, but too much peel. :)

Valencias give you more orange for your buck but are a pain to peel so I just cut them into slices.
