Anybody else get lucky? I have trips to ADL and MEL planned, plus ozfest VI (ADL) will also qualify

Just got the email and I have already requalifed WP this year (end April) but this will kick along the new year.

Double SC's and ASA this could be a dream run to WP+PG.

Last year when I was Gold and wanted this they made the offer to Platinum FFers.

This year when I probably cannot use it they offer it to Gold and Platinum FFers. :evil: :evil: :evil:

ie I got the same offer as a Platinum.

Dag-nam-it... I haven't received the email (so probably won't).

Currently close to qualifying for WP (200 SC), and wouldn't have considered a status run. Buuut, if this offer was made to me, it would seriously be tempting!!!

Guess its a good thing I haven't received the email as overall, it'll save me a few $$$

Bugger.

I hope I get something as a PS. I currently have > 415 SCs worth of travel already planned between those dates, and more travel before the end of my year.

If I get the offer, I'll finish my status year (ends 30 Oct) on >1600 SCs assuming there's no further travel - so I'd be WP. I'll already shoot well into SG within the next month though.

Here's hoping

If not, then I might just do a status run as I'll be reasonably close to WP anyway (~1200 SCs)

I missed out on this offer last year so my heart skipped a beat when I saw the email from Qantas come in this afternoon. I've got ~2300 status credits worth of travel before 30 June so thought I'd be onto a winner with this one.

I noticed the '...must book and fly between...', so thought I'd be smart, cancel all my bookings and re-book the same flights...

CBR-SYD AnySeat J - too close to travel date to rebook at same number of points (and I actually only booked that on the 12th - one day too early...)

CBR-IAD-CBR - no I class fares on my outbound date so would cost additional $3500 to rebook, AA flights not eligible, would lose my place in the J-F upgrade lottery queue

SYD-CHC-SYD - cancellation fees for Q class fares too high to justify extra 40SCs

AONE4 - booked under OneWorld 10% discount so would cost an extra $1600 to cancel and rebook, AA & BA flights not eligible

Given all the above flights are taking me out of the country for most of the promotional period, I don't really have a chance to book any additional QF flights even if I wanted to.

So it seems this really was a perfectly targeted email in my case - Qantas has made me feel like I'm important to them as a specially selected WP member, but in reality I probably won't earn a single additional SC as a result.

I haven't received the email yet. I have never been targeted in a bonus SC promotion at all.

LW did excitedly call me to tell me of his successful email; he's wishing me luck that I get one too.

I've been told that a WP who is close to PG was targeted.

Is the double SC on ALL eligible flights? or just on eligible QF flights?

Also got the email. Only 290 sc for the membership year so far. Have not even completed the minimum flight segments yet.

Have a trip coming up to YUL so might have to see if the boss will put me in J ... hoping to make platinum on this deal.
