Just got an email offering double status credits between Oz and HKG between 17 Nov and 17 May 2012.

Could come in handy, at least it lasts for a while :)

I'm really out of luck with all of these offers from QF.

I will requalify for WP with all the flights I have already booked with QF. And, my membership period doesn't rollover until after this offer ends.

Doh. :)

Edit: It is nice to receive these offers even though they're useless to me.

We're off to HKG tonight for a week so that would be perfect. Sadly no email :(

No vulture bait for me as yet. :(

I have already booked a JASA SYD-HKG leaving on 28 December. I'm so annoyed that I miss out on the offer!

Is there any way I could get the double SCs, perhaps by ringing the call centre to cancel then immediately re-book?

Hooray! We've received the email too.
But wait... It's addressed to - my 11 year old daughter!
Bugger!

Dang. I am about to book to hong kong or shanghai. Bummer.

Sent on the wings of flying unicorns.

Anyone notice it says flights between Australia and Hong Kong?

After registering it says "on eligible flights to Hong Kong" which makes it an even more restrictive offer if it only applies to the outbound leg.

I haven't got the e mail ether.

I am booking a trip to HKG in the next few days for Feb so that would be great to get double SC's.

Will be a bit of a status run then.

Might go via Melb if possible from BNE.

Rats!

Received the email. Just when I've finished my package of work that's had me fly SYD-HKG 3 times in the last few months..... :(

The registration page also says:

"For full terms and conditions please refer to your original email."

The first condition in the email says:

"Recipients of this email will be eligible for this double Status credits offer by firstly registering via the above registration link in the main text area of this email and then booking and travelling between 17 November 2011 and 17 May 2012 on an eligible Qantas International flight between Australia and Hong Kong (flights must have a QF flight number on your ticket and be a flight on which Status credits are normally earned). This offer is not transferrable. Qantas may extend the offer. Extra Status credits may take up to 6 weeks after completion of your travel to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account."

As you pointed out, the email condition refers to an eligible flight "between Australia and Hong Kong". Is a flight from Hong Kong to Australia a flight "between Australia and Hong Kong"? I would suggest, and hope, so.

(PS, I got the email too!)

No email for me, sadly.
Have been considering a trip back to HKG as well - Mrs MatF and I had 2 days there in January this year, but it didn't feel like it was enough. This may have tipped the balance for me!

Nicely timed *after* the $380 fare ;)

I've booked a one-way in Feb with the sale and looking to book a return. Was going to pay for J on CX but might go the JASA option. First thing QF has offered that I may not actually miss out on. Pity it's targeted, travel companion would make SG (though they still have to fly their ~'s to get the PS pack!).

However like others I immediately looked at their fine print and am wondering what counts. Common-sense says any QF flight between HKG and an Australian port. Hopefully they can verify this.

I received the email a few hours ago.
There is a small chance u will be going to HK next April.

Does anyone have any advice from past experience on what to do with my already booked and paid for JASA at the end of December? Can I cancel and re-book the same flight to qualify for the double SCs?

No big deal, a JASA to HKG and then a 2K J round trip fare with CX makes for a good SC haul. For the record the T*Cs clearly show it as between, not to!
