hi -

has anyone experience problems with JQ points posting to QFF??

*class seems to take weeks to post, even with missing points claims - this normal for JQ?

Yes it seems to be.

I've only flown *Class twice - the first time I submitted a missing points claim after a week.

The second time was on 29/1. Nothing yet, but I'm not in a hurry so I might leave it a month or two and see if they actually post before submitting a claim.

argh - yeah, i had a quick look, but missed that in the other thread .. thanks for reposting.

and yes - overwhelming consensus is that it's a shambles!!!!

i wouldnt be surprised, though, if QF is 'deliberately' sitting on their hands ... it seems they (as in both of them) go out of their way to make anything "JQ+QF" complicated.

i wont even start to go on about other JQ+QF problems i've had (on another flight that has a JQ sector, QF saying food would be included, and then having JQ saying that it wasn't ... at check-in! (when it was too late to order a "pre-order" food/entertainment packs, etc -- even though i sware i wasn't even given that option when making the booking in the first place!! (on the QF website), etc etc etc) ... oh well but i find QF is much better integrated with other OW partners, than their own group airlines!

hmmm, I flew *Class for the first time SYD-HKT and the points and SCs credited automatically 3 weeks afterwards. I did notice that our QFF numbers appeared on our boarding passes, where others have said this had not occured.

Nah whether it appears or not on your BP has little to do with it posting.

And, three weeks for an airline who is owned by Qantas? Absolute shambles. Why is it that other airlines in the OneWorld fold (eg AA and CX and even BA) can post flights to QF in a matter of hours, days, and at most a week or two - but their own sibling (Jetstar) requires three?

And for interest sake, I am still awaiting (with baited breath) for a flight on Qantas metal (where I added FF number at kiosk) that was a JQ flight number to post... (I asked the previous sector to add my FF number to my booking).

I'm sorry Qantas - this is beyond a joke and it needs to be rectified ASAP. It isn't funny and I am not happy. I nearly lost requal to Plat thanks to this stupidity. Luckily someone in QF either comp'd me based on my loyalty or saw my "missing points claims" and pushed me back to Plat for another year as a result...

Except when it comes to booking you onto a JQ flight via the QF website. They don't seem to have any problem doing that and charging more for the pleasure. :rolleyes: :mad:

The more I think about this the more it seems like the issue may be at Jetstar's end.

Qantas obviously has systems in place for the rapid posting of SC/points as witnessed by a few people on AA flights in the past few months. It would seem unlikely that Qantas would take the time to deliberately implement slower & more unreliable system for their sister LCC airline - even I'm not that skeptical.

Also, the fact that Jetstar doesn't post within 24hrs (i.e. automated daily batch processing) makes me think that they haven't fully automated it yet and that there is some sort of manual procedure involved - if this is correct then it makes sense that they would do this process infrequently to reduce the amount of man hours required for a task that doesn't really benefit them that much.
 
I expect it's a monthly process of QFF SCs and points being sent in batches from JQ to QF.

They are a LCC, so you can't have the same expectations as other OW carriers.

I don't think it's a monthly process - the points turn up all over the place in a month. I don't think it is unreasonable for people to expect their points to turn up within two weeks of the flight.

Considering I have been waiting 7 weeks for one flight to post, I find it appalling.

And I even logged a "missing points" claim for it too as soon as that option was available. I know it's still in the system as it won't let me re-log the missing points claim, and it hasn't been denied ... it's just sitting somewhere.

Not 100% sure where the BP for that flight is now (or the other one I'm missing), so following up via other means may be more difficult.
 
I flew 2 different JQ sectors over the last 2 months, one was domestic NZ and it posted on the 31 Dec, flight was 14 Dec, the other one was 13 Jan and it posted on the 4 Feb, Now I don't mind them doing monthly batches but deciding to do it after the end of the month is just stupid and I guess it causes problems for Qantas as well as you have people chasing them up, and I guess you got the problem of getting the points to credit in the previous month.

Qantas and Jetstar just don't care and it shows.

Where is Red Roo to offer his explanation.
 
This is really disappointing - I'm flying starclass next week to BKK which will make my silver and my flight back will well and truly get me past the line for silver...

I think work wants me to fly domestically shortly after so I would like the Silver benefits that I'm entitled to, but maybe that won't happen if the points & SC don't credi for another few weeks :shock:

I know the difference isn't much but the extra points would be nice since I'll be entitled to them...!

When they finally do post, Qantas should backdate your Silver to when it was originally earned, and thus bump up the points earning for any flights after that date. So I wouldn't be too worried about missing out on the points.

Just hang on to those Baording Passes until the points/SC's post.
 
Just as a datapoint - A Jetsaver fare took 22 days to post.

Hadn't followed it up as there was no points in it!
