Hello all,
Slightly OT, can anyone tell me if a 3K flight not acruing Pts/SC would be one of the 4 elidgible flights for status. She will make Silver with any flight she takes as she has enough SC, but needs 1 more elidgible flight and I was hoping the 3K would do it.
Thanks
Ash
I would imagine no SC's/points = no to eligible segments. I believe its the same for JQ flight numbers.
Has anybody had points post without putting in a request?
If I were you I would be sending scans of your Boarding passes for these flights attached to an email requesting credit to frequent_flyer(a)Qantas.com.au ASAP.My flight from Mel to Sin was on 19 Dec and I am still waiting for my points. I was told not to worry as it is not going to affect my status.
I believe 3K accrue points & SC if it is Jetflex. i hope so anyway as I did one in Dec and am waiting for the points.

This particular issue has been subsequently resolved and flight transactions are being processed to schedule as they are received. Having said that, I have passed on your comments regarding the time it takes for JQ flights to credit in general.
In relation to Jetstar, there was a server change, which affected automatic crediting of their flights in Qantas Frequent Flyer at the end of last year, causing a delay, which some of you have experienced. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I've followed up this particular issue with Qantas Frequent Flyer.
Red Roo, are you saying that this particular problem was "at the end of last year" and that all flights from 2011 onwards should be posted promptly (ie, within 5-7 working days)?
Thanks Red Roo.
While you are chasing things up, is it possible for you to get this sorted too?

All flights this year are being processed to schedule after receipt of information from Jetstar, i.e. Qantas Frequent Flyer is receiving the regular feed of flight transaction information required.
How can Qantas improve its 'relevance' and stop its decline?

Once the JQ/3K 787 start arriving in force, I believe QF management will look to reduce the QF Int footprint to current 380/747 routes exclusively (SYD/MEL/BNE-LAX and SYD/MEL-LHR via SIN/HKG/BKK), with the exception of the 737 Jetconnect Trans-tasman services. Therefore, those of us who do not live in SYD/MEL will be luckly to see a QF Int aircraft in a few years time. Current QF 330/767 Int routes would be replaced by JQ/3K 787 services (PER/BNE/ADL-SIN/HKG and PER/SYD/MEL-NRT for example) flown by Asian based crew (like the MEL-SIN example outlined above).
A small benefit from these changes would be a slight upgrade in the service provided by JQ/3K. To make the above changes plausible (particularly to those who will lose all QF Int service), JQ/3K would become an associate member of Oneworld, some more fare classes would earn QF FF points (probably at 0.5 points/mile however), the ability to book JQ/3K services on a single PNR with other airlines and QF/OW FF status benefits would apply on international JQ/3K services (priority seating/boarding/baggage etc).
Alan Joyce and his management mates believe JQ/3K is the only way forward for the QF group and QF customers will be dragged along wether we like it or not. It will be interesting how the reduction (or destruction?) in QF service will turn out in the long run. IMHO, as a full service airline, QF has a chance against the competition. But as a LCC with JQ/3K, others can do it cheaper and that is all customers in that segment care about.
The second time was on 29/1. Nothing yet, but I'm not in a hurry so I might leave it a month or two and see if they actually post before submitting a claim.
