I have formatted the data into a Google Docs spreadsheet up to this post using the format:

Date | Cabin | Route | Points | Co-pay | credit-card? | Max points cost (if known) | SCs earned

The spreadsheet should be able to be viewed by anyone, as long as your local network does not restrict access. I.e. you do not need to request permission from me to view it.

Please PM me any suggestions you have to improve it, to save this thread becoming distracted from its intended purpose.

Following the decision by Qantas on 26 June 2013, Any Seat Award bookings made in reservation classes X, Z, U or P cannot be made online at qantas.com, as known by many as ASA's at, or close to Classic pricing. The only way to book one of these is by calling Qantas as has been heavily discussed on the other threads: -

There: ASA change summary & How to Book them

Here: [Confirmed] QF removing [cheap] ASAs [from web booking engine Jun 26] was 10April

And Here: Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

Please note that from 26 June 2013 Any Seat Award bookings made in reservation classes X, Z, U or P cannot be made online at qantas.com. To make an Any Seat Award booking in these classes please call 1300 366 587 (dial in +61 2 8222 2430 from outside Australia) between the hours of 0900 and 1700 AEST on Mondays to Fridays. In most cases the points required for Any Seat Awards booked in these classes are higher than those required for a Classic Award in the same class of travel on the same flight

Red Roo has also commented & suggested the following:

  • As Classic Awards can still be viewed online by selecting “Show Classic Awards Only” on the booking screen, you may wish to identify availability options prior to calling 1300 366 587 to minimise your time on the phone.
  • When calling, simply ask for a “Classic Award booked as an Any Seat Award”. We are continuing to educate agents to recognise that terminology and to be more comfortable with the booking process.
  • While the relevant pages on qantas.com will be updated soon, I would like to give AFF members a heads up that the dedicated number to book a Classic Award as an Any Seat Award (1300 366 587) is now available 24/7. Hope this goes towards making the booking process more convenient.

Anyway, the real purpose of this thread is for members to post their successful ASA bookings, from the above process... Hence the AFF community is informed with some historical booking information, prior to making the call...

The format shall be as follows:

Date Of Booking | Booking Class | Originating Airport > Connecting Airport > Destination Airport | QFF Points Payment | Cash Co-payment (if CC fee please use + Sign)

No other information is to be posted, please use the other threads for this, please just keep this thread to factual information only please

Edit: I suggest date of booking is of most value, since it is relative based on the current taxes and fuel fines during that exact period of booking. I'm not sure date of travel is price sensitive on award bookings... but I could be wrong. Lets just keep it to when the booking was made...

**I'm assuming "date of booking" means "date of travel", not "date I booked it". But in case I'm wrong about that, it was booked in August 2013.
