Yep - the call centre speaks volumes for that too.

    QF award ticket flying CX

Hey quick question for the experts. I have a CX award booking in a couple of months booked through QFF. If the CX flights are cancelled or we are still unable to fly via HKG, will QF reroute us or do they simply wipe their hands and refund the award ticket leaving us to find something else...

Singapore pauses new ticket sales until 20th January 2022

And this is why people have low confidence in travelling at the moment. The one country that seems to have their head screwed on is Fiji. Sensible testing requirements encouraging visitors unlike their asian counterparts ie Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore.

QF putting on a brave face

Also any stood down crew would of been accruing benefits (ie sick leave) over the last 2years so probably have healthy balances to burn.

Qantas cancel Sydney to LAX (Wed. & Fri. services) in January!

I'd say because they can put the SYD pax on the AA flight as well. Also I reckon demand is softer with the current 72 hour isolation on arrival.

Has anyone booked to fly in December?

    Europe summer

I booked Europe fro June next year. i think borders will open later this year - at least thats what all the noise seems to be allbeit only to select high vax countries. No point the govt telling us things will open up at 80% if they don't.

Virgin Australia to lease more 737s

There will be quite the uproar if at 80% of the 16+ population being double vaccinated we still have border restrictions given we are being told constantly vaccination is the way out of this. Given we are supposed to hit this target around early NOV I can see why they would be optimistic for xmas.

Qantas to permanently close QF HKG lounge

No I haven't but LAX is not a major hub of a. Oneworld partner so it makes sense for QF to have a lounge.

Qantas to permanently close QF HKG lounge

Does it really make sense to have your own lounge at a Oneworld members home hub where they have their own flagship lounges?

Two QF A380s to be scrapped

Bonus 1,000 Qantas points, 15 status credits or $20 flight voucher if fully vaccinated against COVID-19

I don't really have an issue providing proof of vaccination. As for providing personal details to QF - they already have my passport details etc and prob know more about my spending habits than google lol

    Finnair Fiasco from 2016

I doubt it will get Finnair to change their mind. From their point of view the court sided with them in the original denial of compensation and going to one of these 3rd party claim sites has netted the same response. If anything I can see why they would want to hold strong unfortunately.
