Does earning status credits reset your points expiry date another 2 years?

To answer the OP, I don't think earning stars credit has any bearing on points expiry. Points expire after some period of 'account inactivity', which is defined by earning or using points (as opposed to status credit). So, all you need to do to keep your account active, which means keeping your...

Singapore business class - what to do with the points potential

If TG points are next to useless, NZ points are indeed useless (they are as useful as buying toasters on QF shop; maybe not as bad, but pretty close). I am not sure why anyone would credit any point to NZ unless one is based in NZ and/or have no other option.

Singapore business class - what to do with the points potential

After a number of devaluations, TG miles are close to useless. SQ miles ae much more valuable but as you are based in Thailand, they may be less useful to you. Why not get a zero-exchange-fee credit card while you are in Australia; the ones you can accumulate points and then transfer to SQ or...

SQ checked luggage on a mixed class ticket

You very well might be right, but that would be really rich if an airline does that: this is analogous to an international business class flight with domestic leg in Y, where the international luggage allowance applies to the whole itinerary (at least, this is based on my own experiences)

SQ checked luggage on a mixed class ticket

So what happens if you upgrade the 1st leg, and check your luggage all the way through?

No more EK F on Alaska points - Will this affect QF too?

Agree 100%, but I think QFF should be the default fallback solution if all else fail

No more EK F on Alaska points - Will this affect QF too?

Not really; you should actually compare it to other avenues of getting EK F "award" tickets; like through JMB

No more EK F on Alaska points - Will this affect QF too?

EK F on A380 is great, but on QFF?? Not the greatest value by any stretch... Last time I bothered to check, fuel surcharge for a 1-way trip to Europe was more than the cost of return ticket to Europe in economy!

No more EK F on Alaska points - Will this affect QF too?

They say tickets issued by 31 August 2021 are going to be honoured, but they have taken EK F redemption from their web site already...

KrisFlyer launches point transfers with CapitaStar

No mention of transfer rate though. I wonder how much (if any) one loses by doing a round trip transfer?

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

They keep encouraging us to travel locally, but with miserable offerings/service and ridiculous pricing, I am far more inclined to stay home till I can travel internationally than to spend my money on domestic tourism. It is ashamed, but Australian domestic tourism has long been priced...

Hotel quarantine experience when returning to Australia

I don't think hotel stays are waived; that would defeat the purpose of quarantine. The only exception I know is if you're traveling on diplomatic passport. The stay is compulsory; only the fee is waived due to a range of consideration (for example, if the ticket is purchased before a set...

Passport Renewal / Application - Time Taken?

Passport and immigration offices have been a 'revenue' centre for the government instead of being 'service' centres. We continue to be charged hundred of dollars for a passport when a similar passport in Europe would cost tens of Euros. I, personally, paid over $10,500 for a partner visa...
