Out of curiosity, given that the J seats are apparently the same on the A330's as on the 789's, has anyone noticed any similar occurrences on the A330's? I myself have not noticed any signs of such a thing over the last 12 months.

Checking in just now at MEL QF domestic/international connections, immediately ahead of me in the line was AFL boss Gillon McLaughlin...I didn't think he would have to stoop to using public checkins! Also I noticed he used the plebs security line instead of the priority one.

Well, I will end this membership year with about 2200 SC's, which has cost me about $25K (all international J with some domestic connections). So extrapolating from that, P1 would have cost me about $40K. No doubt of course it can be done for much less.

Ah well, suppose I can slum it just once...

My memory is pretty good, and I honestly cannot remember the last time I got a hot towel in QF international J! (Apart from 2020-21, I have used QFi J at least 6 times a year for a LONG time).

80000 would be a large slice of the total QC membership: if this was indeed the case, surely it would have come to light long ago.

The PAGSS lounge has indeed been open for most of this year...CX currently use it as do QF/QR/TK and several other airlines.

As of a few weeks ago it was still very much closed, no sign of life at all. Options for QF Plat are nil (unless you have Priority Pass or Diners in which case you could access the Marhaba lounge).
