Huh? I was able to book HI for early Dec for LESS than Mantra...

I have stayed at the Ibis Budget a few times in the past when I have had an early morning departure. as a "cheap and cheerful" option, but recently their tariffs have gone through the roof...they are charging more than HI, which is pretty absurd.

I must lead a charmed life...4 times out of 4 this year I have cleared immigration in 15 mins or so. It can happen!

Checkin at MNL T3 usually opens about 4 hours before scheduled departure so you should not have too much of a gap to fill. Luggage delivery is usually fairly quick. I believe you can go from arrivals to departures without leaving the terminal but have never actually done so so can't confirm.

At MNL T3 a few weeks ago there was a separate QC checkiin line/desk which was deserted when I was there and was being used for J/status pax.

+1 to the above...I have been looking at some international trips for late Nov/Dec and fares everywhere are just insane, up 50-100% or more on what I was paying just a few months ago and far more than I can justify, Looks like I am grounded for a while!

Going D-> I this morning, bus left Dom at 0945, entered the F lounge at 1010 (using the J/F queues). The regular queues, particularly for security, looked horrendous.

Nonsense...they do NOT wait for the bus to fill up. They may go a bit early if the bus is full, but apart from that they go to schedule.
