It has been a very long time (nearly 2 years IIRC?) since our last dinner in Melbourne...is there any interest in a restart? Would be nice to confiem that we are all still alive if nothing else. Maybe at OT, or any other convenient location.

I would have thought that even with the A380's operating, the number of actual F pax would be a pretty small fraction of the total potential clientele, to the point whwre they would hardly by themselves justify a separate checkin area?

Another data point: have just entered toe MEL J lounge after arriving from SYD earlier; just flashed my (printed) BP and was waved in with no problem.

These kinds of password rules were utterly discredited at least 10 years ago; any organization that still requires them has frankly pretty lousy standards of IT governance. I have occasionally sent emails to such people pointing this out but rarely get much/any response.

I have noticed that when I exercise my Plat "arrival" lounge access, they do not not scan your BP at all; just sighting it seems to be enough. Not sure if that is a general practice?
