I've given up on ever getting the cash refunds I'm due from 2020. Never mind. By flying Virgin instead whenever possible I've saved more money on the swings than I lost on the roundabouts.

I've had similar experiences and sorted it out by contacting the guest centre. They added the extra SCs to my account. If they're J class purchased with $$$ (rather than points) you should be able to cancel for a refund Either way, I'd speak to them. .

I agree that the Qantas system is certainly easier to understand, but the Virgin method, though confusing, is more to your advantage when you are moving up the ladder. However, once you reach the dizzy height of WP you still get the confusion but with no benefit ... 😉
