Maybe nothing but looks like changes are on the way to the velocity programme if this job posting is anything to go by:
  • Define and refine what it will take for the new Velocity loyalty program to be successful, how we best position ourselves for our guests and how we will measure up against the competition

AFAIK, the program is under review, and they expect to have something late this year.

Wow, discounted lounge membership and travel insurance etc - that will have all the top end of town rushing to apply! :D

They would probably slot out the employee, and make them work very hard with a high "KPI".
Edit: glassdoor website won't let me check pay rates, without me having to put in my salary, so they want to do trace, I don't dare go further.
And the ASU & Fair Work Aust agreement from 2019 to 2022, also does not list pay rates.

One wonders if it's better than the arrangement AFF has for their members on discounted lounge memberships? 🤔

If Virgin wants to pull in the high spenders, they need to offer a little more than the occasional upgrade coupon or lounge access, especially when QF is part of a comprehensive airline alliance that gives its members benefits regardless of where they fly. This is to say nothing of the many upgrade opportunities including the high value point upgrades like MEL > SYD on the A330 for 10,900 points.

This is an ongoinng BAU role rather than a project role i.e. a role they will always have. It doesn't mean there are changes afoot, beyond changes that will always happen anyway e.g. the recent Qatar one.

Basically they need someone to do the grunt work as part of operating a loyalty program. This is that person.
