No word yet at the 10 week mark. Called Qantas again today, was advised request will be sent to the refunds team and you should get the refund in a few days. Received an email after the call, stating the above. It is quite plausible that they do not action initial refund request until you chase...

5000 points on a SYD-DPS in J when the IFE audio could not be used as a previous user left a remnant of the 3.5mm pin in the port. (was promised 10k points, 5k automatically transferred and 5k to be manually processed, but I only received 5k all up.

9hrs is a long time to be spending in the mediocre LATAM lounge. I'd check if day rates are available at the Holiday Inn.

I've done a turnaround in SIN-DPS-SIN on SQ before (arr DPS 1105 dep 1300). Not the same aircraft. No issues using the transfer desk (but then again I was issued DPS-SIN BP in SIN.

Had a request approved by the system for PE for SYD-HND, a good result given its usually quite difficult to get reward seats on this route and revenue fares are usually high. Not successful for J and regular Y though.

Interesting, the last time I receieved an incoming express pass was 6 months ago. Noticeably absent since.

I believe so. Based on my experience entering SYD earlier this week, the signs are still present just before the passport gates, but when I tried to use a express entry pass from past trips, I was told by a staff member its no longer a thing. Likewise at quarantine, there isnt an express queue.

Not fussed at all when flying J on a 737 and Y passengers use the J bathroom. But I always make a concious effort to walk to the rear lavatories when I fly in row 4. The issue here is structural, without a physical barrier, Y passengers will always have pausible deniability when it come to using...

I realize nothing much happens on Trans Tasman Y (other than front row + likelihood of blocked middle seat). It is rather similar to domestic Y in terms of the service. Anyway you didnt get an express arrivals as it is no longer a thing in SYD.

On QF26, sat in the first row of Y. Woke up to find a J amenity kit beside me. WP beside me received one as well. I'm thinking it's becoming a norm on long haul international flights?

Just stepped off QF79 in Y tonight. While the personalized greeting can feel a little awkward, I did appreciate the proactive distribution of J amenity kits to WPs.
