Centurion annual fee increase from 5K to 6.5K

You may be correct, but for people who use Centurion exclusively or a debit card, Centurion is preferred way to pay due to insurances etc. My preferences shouldn't result in a lack of benefits, given the tier of this product. Especially given people on a global level would scratch their heads...

I'd raise the FX fee with your RM. I did. Boggles my mind

Won't be renewing. Intl transaction fees really pissed me off.

Amex Centurion Card eligibility in Australia

No I haven't tried. I will be taking it to Europe. Might try in Singapore first. I like the idea of not having to take a wallet with me. I hate using tap and pay on my phone. Hahah seems you are far away from the airport? We are southeast melb. Yep - mine was similar to this, was just kind of...

Amex Centurion Card eligibility in Australia

My experience has been keeping my RM doing all the work for hotels etc, then in the lead up to everything being finalised he asks what time works for us to be picked up from home.
  10. Q

Amex Centurion Card eligibility in Australia

I could be wrong, but I thought that was changed with the new product (increase to AF etc) to be any international ticket regardless of class. Not sure, I have heard Singapore Air do it. Wow, I have to be honest if I was a first time member (which I am), I cannot stand dealing with multiple...
  11. Q

Amex Centurion Card eligibility in Australia

It depends on the property. The FHR property will state on Amex travel portal to some effect of: "This property has elevated Centurion benefits when booking through your RM"
  12. Q

Amex Centurion Card eligibility in Australia

Offically: If you book an international return trip you receive: Luxury transfer to the airport, destination airport to hotel and airport to home. I have received this even without booking the return trip (used an awards redemption booking direct with the airline)

Amex Centurion Card eligibility in Australia

My invitation came at the perfect time for me to test it out to see if it is worth it. I've been plat charge since 18 and Cent since 21. I do truly believe the Plat Charge is exceptional value if you travel. However, the Centurion has its perks. The insurance is second to none. See above...

  15. Q

Amex International Transaction Fees - Worth it for insurance cover?

It'll come down to what is important to you. My mentality has been convenience plus experience. The convenience of not having to worry about any insurance, making sure I've got the policies etc etc. Not to mention the time I have to invest in finding the "right" policy for the price. My...

    How does spending power work?

Yeh nothing has ever been reported for AU cards. Tbh I'd forgotten about it. I did it tonight. 180k approved. 100k approved. Tried 80k approval, told me I've been partially approved for something nominal like $43,600 lol. It mentions to do with fraud also. I'd say that works for both sides...

    How does spending power work?

The more you use it the less it generally approves. All algorithms More prevalent in the US from my understanding (can trigger account reviews). However never seen this with an AU acc.
