Hello I am allowed to book our holiday overseas on the basis of NO SNOW.. Mrs KT has requirements of sun, beach and snorkeling in Feb 2020, so I am thinking Thailand ( maybe PhiPhi) and /or Vietnam (Maybe Ha Long Bay, Hoi An or Phu Quoc). I would love any tips, suggestions and advice...

Emirates taking liberties with medical assistance?

This was not meant to be ignore the sick or distressed, as I said, it could be the story where your relative /friend needed help. But it should also be about the person on holiday who has given help. This thread started with a post stating EK staff welcomed a member of the public onto a plane...

Emirates taking liberties with medical assistance?

Airlines seem happy to ask for help from medical staff when required. And you can think "how would I feel if my relative was sick on a flight?" Has anyone stories of what compensation is offered for helping. When you are on a flight you have paid for a chair, meal and a drink or 2. No one...

Whats your best experience on a delayed flight?

We have all been held up on planes going nowhere and it can suck. After one late departure SYD-AKL we arrived very late and sat at the gate for 35 min because they could not get the air-bridge to connect. At 3am we were not amused. But what about the times where a delay is unexpectedly good...

Qantas FF announcement 20 June - "biggest overhaul" in program history

Will points club get many more people into the lounges? QC looks full most of the time, so I am wondering how many more expected to have access and how QF are planning to manage

Qantas priority boarding - crippled by Communists?

Last month we flew QF158 AKL-MEL. The flight was running late and the departure lounge was packed. The staff announced preferred boarding for business / status and there was a general push to the desk. We were pleasantly surprised to see PB being enforced in English, Spanish and Mandarin. The...

Auckland Emirates Lounge [Now open approx. 11am-2pm,5pm-9pm]

We were qf158, leaving about 6.30pm So they had a flight to SYD, Santiago and MEL. I am not sure how 3 flights managed to completely overwhelm the lounge, but its not unusual. Either more J pax, more people with status, lots of guests or a combination. It wasn't a Friday or school holidays either.

Auckland Emirates Lounge [Now open approx. 11am-2pm,5pm-9pm]

WE flew out of Auckland last Thursday. There was champagne in the F lounge, but no seats. I am not talking about a table with 1 person taking 4 seats, there were no spare seats. 4 people were sitting in the computer area as an overflow. We ducked back out and were lucky to see someone get up to...

Do you know the lounge access rules? (Quiz!)

I just looked at qantas site. This is more evidence that lounge rules are hard to follow. Be recognised when flying with Alaska Airlines Gold, Platinum, Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyers and Qantas Club members can enjoy access for you and a guest to Alaska's lounges in Los Angeles, Seattle...

Do you know the lounge access rules? (Quiz!)

We got into the LAX As lounge a few years ago on QF codeshare. But absolutely no way of getting into Seattle lounge with QF codeshare back to LAX. Someone said this had changed last year. And then there was Bangkok last year. QF SYD-BKK then code share QF on Jet Airways to DEL. As 2 WP we were...

First time to the US - comments on itinerary

It sounds like an awesome trip. In Seattle you really should see Chihuly glass next to the space needle www.chihulygardenandglass.com. If you can get there before dusk and spend an hour watching the outdoor garden transform from daylight to the night lights.I found the Boeing tour a bit sterile...

Hi In September we are looking to rent a car in Split and drive south. Has anyone done this and have suggestions on rental car companies. Where there any problems going through Bosnia? We are also thinking about popping in to Montenegro. Appreciate any advice.
