Multi city didn’t work for me either for Mel-Syd then Syd-Lhr, so I just booked Syd-Lhr online and then called Qantas, who added the Mel-Syd connection. New ticket arrived straight away.

Weird that the seats weren’t all released at 11am Sydney time (I checked) and that domestic connections weren’t offered to Syd/Perth. The latter would have annoyed a lot of people - the exact opposite of Qantas’ goal. I had to call up to get the domestic connections added and they wouldn’t waive...

It was set to 12 but I put a thermometer in and it read 14.5, which is why I thought of setting it lower. Humidity is 75%.

I don’t see how a few credit card ads negatively impact the user experience here. Unless you’re implying it leads to bias? Where’s the evidence for that?

It's fairly new - about 18 months old. It's the first time I've noticed it. The Vintec website had instructions on cleaning with vinegar (as did other websites). Good to know. I'm also going to let everything air out for a few weeks before using the fridge again.

Ugh. Opened my Vintec today to discover white mould growing on bottles and shelves. The internet tells me it isn’t that uncommon, but it’s annoying and a bit gross. Have cleaned everything with vinegar and will reduce the temp (it was at 12). Any other tips??

I don’t think a 3% fee is worth it. There’s also the AMEX acceptance issue. I always use the Bankwest World mastercard overseas. No fee and earns Qantas Points.

The concierge service is no longer mentioned on Amex's website (other than for travel) so I wouldn't be getting the card for that specific benefit.

Another option is MR->Marriott->SQ if/when Amex have another 50% transfer bonus to Marriott 60k MR = 60K Marriott = 25k SQ (that;s 'only' 5K less miles than the current MR->SQ)
