In the Dom MEL J lounge for the next few hours

I would miss WP once LTG, but the LTP target is practically unattainable. I’d probably change to considering getting WP if intended travel and a DSC line up perfectly, but maybe once in several years. I’m still some years away from getting LTG though.

Every time a sale is finishing some hope a DSC is about to start. I wouldn’t expect a DSC till at least February when most people are back from holiday.

I think they will offer DSC again this year. I plan on using it to retain status and to keep on progressing well towards LTG.

That’s more entries than I have for that quarter.

The chicken. It was nice. I mainly had the turkey, ham and Christmas Pudding.

Looking forward to visiting today. I expect the lounge will be packed though which may make finding a seat more difficult than normal.

The only QANTAS marketed (QF flight number) classic reward flights are the QANTAS operated ones. It’s much easier to find domestic economy classic rewards than say long haul international business. A lot of Points Club members here will try to book classic rewards during a DSC promo if they can...

Someone flying cheapest Y to NZ with a one off lounge invitation is in the same J lounge as someone with a fully paid J fare to LHR who doesn’t have WP, whereas someone with WP and cheapest Y fare to LHR gets into the FLounge.

My pet peeve is that the breakfast menu doesn’t seem to ever really change (except for the First Lounge, which I don’t get too often). I much prefer the food available from lunch onwards and the bar is closed at domestic lounges till lunch time.

There is a lead you can attach to that brick to enable it to plug in easily (they don’t include it with new purchases anymore, but most should have one from an older laptop) or you could bring a double adapter

I am already well on the way to retaining WP, but would need a DSC next year to get there.

I am hoping to make some bookings during next year’s promo.

If they do a DSC promo with similar pricing to NZ as for the 2022 promo I might try to get P1 and fast track my way towards LTG.

I like MEL-BNE-CNS return in one day, but the pricing for that is ridiculous at the moment. Whilst WP, MEL-SYD-AKL-BNE-MEL is a nice option if one can get it or flying somewhere else in NZ such as CHC.

Oh wow, you can do that? I might need to consider doing that next time. I think the only problem is maybe not being able to do indirect both ways for maximum SC?

In the app I only get the message that boarding has commenced after I have already boarded.
