    The Qantas Singapore Lounge

Yes, but the access with children is different: WP can bring two children and SG none when using EK Lounges. Have to book a holiday in DXB with the kids as long as I am still WP....

QFF Your Summary page positively enhanced.

My ~ counter is not showing despite no QF segments flown in my membership year? Is the 4~ rule beeing enhanced?

How strictly does QF enforce the 4~ requirement for retention of status?

Same here. I only had an issue with a rebooked JASA, but that was sorted out after three mails. Just claim an orignal routing credit. Beeing based in Europe it can be quite hard to get the 4 Segments, but it is still managable.

Passengers requesting to change seats with other passengers

Why are people asking to change seats? I have done that in rare occasions. In all of them the airline (QF and LH) did mess our reservations. This occurred: - We had a connection and our inbound flight was late. So we managed the connection but were offloaded and then let in again. That messed...

    Air Berlin Earning Points

OK, just my thougt about the AB Program: I am based in Germany and fly AB quite a lot. I still credt my flights to QF - I rack up some SCs - but the milage is abysmal ( 79 Miles for flights in cheap Eco). The AB Program has some nice earners if you live in Germany (Credit card, status miles...

Unsuccessful QF retro points claim AY "CHARTER FLIGHT"?

Lounge access with kids on Oneworld Partners is just a shame. This is one reason to keep Partner Gold: Bring wife and my two girls into the lounge without any discussion.

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

2700 SCs for me to go. Hopefully I will hit it next year. Then I have a hard choice: - Stay with QF to earn Plat? - Move? - AA: Good earning/burning - BA: My favourite Airline - AB: Lots of travel with then, but will they be around next year? - AY: Lifetime Emerald - but what about AY lifetime?

Sydney to Europe without Dubai through Singapore on Qantas!!

AF is quite a no go. They lost too many planes in the past. CDG is a nightmare and makes LHR look very good.

Sydney to Europe without Dubai through Singapore on Qantas!!

Not true. I really like them. The worst you can get is a Skybed MK1 on some planes. On the other they have the LX-Style flat bed. I really like their service - if you are a bit into Northern Europe food they are very good. The international Lounge in HEL is quite nice. The Schengen (Domestic) is...

New Qantas Toolbar - Earn Bonus Points just for searching

I installed it on my Firefox Browser. I rarely use it. My main browser does not like the toolbar! So quite safe to install it in a secured sandbox.

Soft landing question Platinum one to Platinum with partner gold?

Not true. As soft landing is not published they can send you to Bronze in theory. Know cases in my family where you got a soft landing and a status comp without the 4 segments. Maybe they look closely into your profile. (Dad usually travels only Business Class - so no cost for Lounge access as...

How long does an International Drivers Licence last?

Living in Germany I asked my neighbour who is a highway police officer. Your home license is enough if your home country has signed the UN Agreement from 1968 and is in the International format (have a special format, uses the international letters for licence type (A,B,C...) and the little...

    Purchased at checkin upgrade

I had some issues with that as well. If the airlines changes your ticket and re-issues it in the new booking class you will get the points and SC for the upgraded class automatically. This happens if you buy a payed upgrade with BA before you fly. If you buy your upgrade at the airport there...

WP changing seat selection on BA

Followed a discussion on FT. It really was a problem. Now it is solved and I could move on 1F again (I prefer 1F as the non-occupied 1E is wider than the compressed 1B seat).

Is there a less rewarding flight in the One World network?

Welcome to my world: Just looked in my statement (from the last month): LHR-MAN: 38 Points NUE-TXL: 59 Points MUC-TXL: 78 Points MUC-CGN: 59 Points Do not want to start a discussion. I am keen to get the 10SCs for every flight, as WP and LTG is my goal. Every little helps (and I use AB quite...

QF to LHR via HKG now impossible

In most cases they even get better fares than online, are to be blamed if something gets wrong. Service! It is like eating at McDonalds or going to a nice restaurant with a good service!

WP changing seat selection on BA

For my first booking I did believe that they were booked. I have now 6 flights - all with the same pattern. Whole cabin has not seats selected - only row 1 is blocked. Something happened. Mrs. Tyrolean and Daddy Tyrolean (both SG) never had the opportunity to book row 1 in CE. Now we all have...

WP changing seat selection on BA

Hi Folks, based in Europe I have quite a significant amount of flights with BA. Yesterday I booked some Club Europe Flighs with BA again. Usually I could reserve the seats in row 1 on the Airbus 319/320/321. But now it seems that those rows are flagged as occupied. The whole plane is empty...

20 year old QP member... And AAdmirals access?

Just a short reminder: Drinking age in Germany is 16 for beer and wine and 18 for spirits. I just laugh about the fuss they make in the US. I was asked for my ID in the US when I was 22 - living in Munich I had many years of Octoberfest and beer garden seasons. Yes we are all drunk and die...

Qantas Club members' lounge access in Europe

That is the point. It does not mater if EK or BA have payed lounge access programs. QF promised it. BA never had a payed program but allowed the QF-Club members in for quite a long time - pecunia non olet. The first cut was the access to BA lounges when not connecting to a QF/BA JSA flight...
