MEL F vs SYD F Lounge

Both F Lounges are great. Which lounge you route through may depend on whether you need extra SCs.

Airport worker sacked botched screening of Julie Bishop

We are always told if you don't yet anything to hide you shouldn't worry. May be we haven't heard the whole story but government ministers need to be treated the same as anyone else to show that airport security checks are fair. I am 100% sure she would not be a danger but what is good for the...

Seating zones for different status levels

I'm Plat and have been in row 4 with row 3 blocked before while a sports group of kids where in row 3 before so even plats don't always get first dibs on row 3. They may have all been Plats but didn't seem so as they were talking about it was the first time they had flown.

    Lounge etiquette

Luckily phone calls on planes in flight are still relatively expensive or it could get very unpleasant. Etihad are $5/min roaming on mobiles but probably won't stop some.

RTW in 365 days for $100K

Fact that around 60% of meals are not included will put the total cost up.

Qantas business class passenger accuses airline of ‘blatant homophobia’

Re: Qantas business class passenger accuses airline of ‘blatant homophobi Even married couples don't always take the others surname. You can change your name if you want whether you are married or not.

First impressions of the new Perth VA Terminal

Interesting about priority boarding on A330. Was there at least a call for Platiunums and Golds to board first? I guess though they would call families with small children first (with seems to mean under 12years!!!). With QANTAS it is similar but they tell you to swap over to the other jetway...

    Ready for Take-Off (TV show)

I saw it in catch up too. To be honest to me it looked ungenuine with delay and upgrade, it may have been genuine but didn't look that way.

½ off Points Economy Classic Rewards to the US - book by Nov 9th 2015

Re: 50% off points on Y classic rewards to the US I think they should have made it all clases excluding WP released seats because let face it there are no virtually no J or F redemption availiable anyway. That way QANTAS would look generous while giving nothing.

Priority boarding on QF domestic - what is the story?

QANTAS really needs to go with the AA boarding process where they board by groups and send you back if you don't have the correct group on your boarding pass. You need to be at the gate before boarding but it really works. If elites want to spend extra time in the lounge they can be they can and...

    Hilton Auckland

Frankly 2 drinks never makes up for lack of lounge, most lounges have as good drinks as most bars with addition of hot snacks free. usually have got harbour view except for once. And more than once have had cruise ships blocking my view even with harbour view, though got suit once. It really...

Name the service, it doesn't matter, it's going to be cough in Australia

I think QANTAS service is good and the staff seem to care, if it is an act it doesn't really matter as it seems real. The other day I was in the Perth domestic business lounge and a someone sitting well away from the bar asked one of the ladies clearing the tables for a scotch and soda and...

Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Woolworth's make QANTAS look like amateurs in the art of "simpler fairer". Woolworth's FAQ says "life's busy enough, we designed it so that everything happens automatically" Actually let me decide if I am too busy thank you very much.

Ever Have One of Those Days?

I would be send an email to HHonors as the hotel does not seem to be providing published benefits if late checkout is possible you should not be asked to pay for it, if not available that would have been different.
