Weekends book out as soon as they open (often earlier due to personal relationships), for Yuzawa in the winter. It’s the closest simple skiing to Tokyo (single Shinkansen) so every weekend there is crazy. $300 is probably a good deal.
Leave a few 1 star reviews around and they might deign to fix it. Seems typical of ME service levels. Sell luxury but offer nearly nothing because they pay their staff peanuts
Nearly 5 and 2.5. Happy for any tips, though my older one is not very adventurous so I am not expecting much.
On the Sapporo snow festival- get cleats for everyone, if it’s cold the ground is packed and slick ice from all the people. It also gets cold. Worse than when skiing- I think it’s all...
I know people think banks are only after CC interest but I’ve seen no evidence of this in rejection patterns. Sometimes you have to accept incompetence rather than malice.
You have no formal employment income, and the banks are too stupid (or just don’t care, more likely) to organise a...
Points are uncapped. The issue won’t be the points, but loading the card up can trigger AML concerns. Esp with Amex, who are on a hair trigger for this problem.
Well of course I’ll be at my apartment, Yuzawa. Can’t wait, first ski time with the kids. God I hope they enjoy either the snow, the board sports or Japan. Otherwise it’s trips by myself…
That’s a very “personal choice” question. It’s not enough points for much in itself, so do you have points where that a top would be useful? Maybe virgin, otherwise, as 22k VA points will probably get you J to somewhere, or near enough.
I suspect it was all said sarcastically, HVR.
OH+S is a BS reason. It’s just so there is a differential between Y and J, nothing else.
otherwise there’s less and less incentive for a part to book J
Can you say/find out what facilities are there for toddlers and 4-5 year olds by any chance, boomy?
Kids club? Activities? Cost etc? I can email them of course, but if it’s obvious at all that would be great.
No, it’s not a daily limit. It’s a monthly limit and then extra fees apply. It’s a significant disadvantage compared to DC. The advantage is locking in rates.

Personally, lounges are rarely worth the extra cost. I can’t find value in the breakfasts which are usually more limited, or the canapés and the alcohol is usually quite low tier even if it’s included.
If it’s not too much more I’d consider asking the hotel whether they allow breakfast in the...
Same, several times. Had cancelled one card and forgotten another, can’t remember how it was solved.
I think the option was there to pay the same amount on a new CC and get the old one refunded.
