Does NZ's system allow them to flag (at check-in) one FF number for points and another for service? SQ can do this, for example (maybe a star alliance thing?).

This has happened to me too, failed in both Chrome and IE, online support said to call the Australian number for Delta, but it was outside business hours and the start of a long weekend. Ended up booking through helloworld.

That's my first time transiting there so I don't know how long it's been the way it is, was just clarifying that the Etihad rep did not give the complete picture above (i.e., Velocity Platinum flying economy has access to more than just the Al Reem lounge).

As at a few days ago at AUH, flying economy, Velocity Gold has access to the Al Reem lounge near the transit security (far from the gate) while Platinum has access to the Premium Lounge.

Currently 7% off until 7 June.

I have the 2015/2016 version, it's there in the app (though strangely moved from Travel to Shopping). So all good for the coming year.

So the solution was to remove Brisbane from the list rather than negotiate access to a different lounge? Disappointing.

Of course back when golds could choose them they were full of platinums and golds and maybe some lucky silvers. Finding no-status people sitting there on full flights is an obvious consequence of the current setup. On non-full flights though the current situation is clearly suboptimal.

fwiw I think at least 3 of last night's SYD-BNE flights actually were 100% full in economy (as judged by inability to fly ahead and zero flexis for sale), so on those flights it's reasonably likely that a non-allocated red would have a decent chance of getting a seat at the front.

Just checked in for a flight, sent boarding pass by sms as per usual, but the va.aero/blahblah link redirects to the front page. Sent boarding pass by email and I see that the sms version dropped the last 2 characters from the link! The full string is longer than usual (12 vs usual 6), maybe...

I've had something similar happen over the weekend too. One leg credited for one of us (and pooled across) and the other leg credited for the other. I figure I'll give them a few days before putting in a request for the missing 2 flights.

Yep roughly 100% for me there as there's usually no one else going through at the same time. Staff there are really friendly though so not a bother at all.

My Agoda account was opened before the Velocity tie up and the rewards system still works, but yes I don't think it's possible to merge it with my Velocity account.
