Disappointing WP experience at First Counter/Lounge regarding baggage limits

I thought the problem was the check-in/first lounge attendants think the 50kg only applies to Qantas, not the connecting CX flight? Is it on the same PNR?

Qantas SYD&MEL to SIN $510 ret ($410 through .br site)

You can go up to 80SC return by adding transit in BNE or MEL, I think.

    Points posting from EK flight

Yes this is EK flight on EK metal, booked in March. I believe the travel agent did not know how to put the QFF number in. I submitted retro claim via QF website.

Treatment of LOTE pax by Domestic Crew

The database can also be tied to pricing. Each violation translates to 10% price increase (compounding). Airlines surely is going to like more money, right? Not sure if it's going to be effective though, I would think most of the culprits won't fly frequently into this country, perhaps...

Qantas SYD&MEL to SIN $510 ret ($410 through .br site)

I think the qantas website price on last sale was $699 or something like that, not $862 as it is currently. Also, Brazil time lags behind a bit so it might not have shown up there yet.

    The Qantas Singapore Lounge

Agree with the comments above. I was there yesterday for the first time, at 9pm the lounge was empty ~10-20% capacity only. Service was good, food was good, one of the best J lounges out there. Definitely much better than the old Singapore lounge (been there couple of times). Although it still...

Air Asia X to increase SYD/MEL flight frequency next year

Seems that this is now scheduled. D7221 will start on July 2nd with the 9:25pm departure 4x a week. IMHO a much better timing for flights to Asia compared to QF or SIA, and their Premium flat seat is not too bad too. According to flightmapper: Tue,Thu,Fri,Sun 21:25 Sydney (SYD) 1 04:20 Kuala...

    May 2013

I probably will have the Silver Q-Tag (shouldn't be too many of these in the F lounge right?) and a Galaxy Nexus with me. See you guys soon! :)

Qantas SYD&MEL to SIN $510 ret ($410 through .br site)

Last time I just check in online from the QF FF bookings page, print out the BP and had no trouble at the airport whatsoever. In the past, even when not checking in online or not printing out BP, I was able to go to the counter with my passport and QFF card and that's all that is required.

Qantas SYD&MEL to SIN $510 ret ($410 through .br site)

If it's not charged, perhaps it'll be cancelled automatically? You may want to check with checkmytrip whether those failed and successful bookings have e-ticked number attached to them.

I can see why QFi are struggling... [Poor service in J]

This is slightly reminiscent to my CGK-SYD flight on QF42 A330 sometimes back (~1 year ago). If you think getting plenty of sleep in J is bad, try in Y as an NB :-D Dinner service took 2 hours to _start_, and then another ~2 hours from start to finish. To top it off, my row (25 or 26, I didn't...

    Singapore hotels advice

I've been to a few that's been mentioned: - Ibis Bencoolen: Basic, wooden floor, room is really small, and personally I found it's a bit hard to get to. Bugis MRT is like a few blocks, but you're going to walk through the super crowded Bugis St. I will probably not be coming back. - Hilton...

Qantas SYD&MEL to SIN $510 ret ($410 through .br site)

I was wondering about this as well. There was some discussions I saw before (either here or on FT) which says you can get your status recognized, although not with points and stay credit.

Qantas SYD&MEL to SIN $510 ret ($410 through .br site)

If you don't want to throw away the hotel booking, you can also just book a better hotel that you want to stay in via expedia :D It'll work out as around 50-60AUD discount for the hotel booking if you do that. I.e. you can get a return + conrad singapore for a night for around 550AUD.

Online/mobile checkin for Domestic flight with international connection

Hello, I'm thinking about booking a flight SYD-xMEL-SIN (same PNR). The SYD-MEL departure will be at 6am. However, I'm planning to take the train so will arrive at the SYD domestic at around 5:20ish. My questions: 1. Assuming I check-in online (or via mobile), and travelling with only hand...

Qantas deleted my frequent flyer points without warning!

Does the terms and conditions of the QFF program mentions something like "we're going to send you an email before expiry"? Even then, emails can be lost along the way, with the usual culprit being the spam filter on the receiver side, so really not receiving an email does not necessarily mean...
