Priority boarding on QF domestic - what is the story?

Premium boarding fail. One FA on the general aisle, one at the computer. Premium aisle blocked by headset bin. QF771 SYD-ADL 21 June 2013.

[Promo Ended]Deep Discount Y currently upgradeable.

Right my mistake requesting PE first. Cancelled and corrected thanks for the tip. Note: no email.

[Promo Ended]Deep Discount Y currently upgradeable.

Nope. Both were available. I clicked on PE, accepted the terms, then it shows PE requested, J N/A. Clicking on "N/A" shows I need to cancel the PE request before I can request J. Seriously Qantas, just take my points and don't make it so difficult! Always with the conditions and caveats.

[Promo Ended]Deep Discount Y currently upgradeable.

Thanks OP! I've got a trip mid September that is now upgradeable. Strangely last I checked you could register for PE and J upgrades cascading (if you don't get J you may still get PE). Now it's one or the other. Did that change recently or am I dreaming? Company policy is non-upgradeable sale...

    Does Singapore ever status match?

Apparently not, but the experience was good so I'll move my Asia flights over to Singapore while trying through our local travel team to see if I can get them to help. Definitely a better Y experience than Qantas, but I missed the lounge access.

    WP treatment in Y

Being based in Adelaide almost all my domestic flights are on 737's. My employer insists on cheapest ticket, so I fly Y, but being WP I can choose seats. If I flew flexible fare I would be comfortably P1, and probably see more of my family but that's not a priority for our shareholders. My...

    Does Singapore ever status match?

Thanks for the replies. I ran out of time to do anything about it, but will be checking with our travel team on my return to see if they can influence SIA at all (Fortune 100 company).

    Does Singapore ever status match?

I'm a Qantas WP, victim of the loss of direct ADL-SIN flights. I've just joined up with KrisFlyer and booked my first Singapore trip via SIA - this time I couldn't spare the nearly 24 hours it was going to take me to get home via Qantas, but facing my first trip since the 90's as status-less...

    QF domestic newspapers "enhanced"

I noticed the other day in the Adelaide lounge they had removed the "Please leave reading materials in lounge" or "Please return reading materials" or whatever the sign said. I thought the morning paper was part of the ad campaign they ran a few years ago?

coughtail evening for Adelaide 1 May 2013

Yes it was a good evening, sorry I didn't get to meet anyone from here - a last minute meeting came up that kept me from the Stamford. I did make a point of saying Hi to someone with a "Bring Back QF81" sticker but she said she pinched it off someone else and didn't seem to be an AFF'er.

Justin also confirmed the invitations were sent to a "cross-section of membership" to get a diversity of opinion, so it was a feedback driven event. I was actually very happy to hear this. If it had been a "placate the masses and sell them a new card" event I would have been disappointed, but...

coughtail evening for Adelaide 1 May 2013

Also confirmed 787-800's are Jetstar. Sometime "in the next few years" the -900 will come to Qantas and potentially support more routes out of Adelaide. The 767 is being retired and a 737 won't do the distance (at least none of the current QF metal).

coughtail evening for Adelaide 1 May 2013

I think the message was given loud and clear. There were most of the team there: http://qantasloyalty.com/connect/our-people/ I spoke with Justin briefly just before security kicked us out. He heard the message clearly throughout the evening. I gave him my idea of allowing Platinum and above...

Doubling the size of the first lounge in LAX - opening next year, trebling Business opening October. Issues with the airport owner have held this up for a long time.

They're sorry about Singapore, "fixing Europe first". Will resolve when 787's come into service (presumably Jetstar).
