Yes, but unfortunately Citi is notoriously bad at this and usually over promises and under delivers.

I'm sorry but I am going to have to take exception with your comment!

You still said 'delivers'. Not in all cases though. You can no longer get a hard copy of the T&Cs for many of their products - they require you to print them out. Including the A7 insurance brochures that come out as A4 with a small column in the middle of the page. Not nearly as convenient for packing in your documents when going overseas (unless you trim all 47 pages (double sided)).

No delivery on that one!

Unfortunately for most dealings you have to keep escalating until you get to the customer advocacy unit. Once you get their phone number;

Don't lose it!

Fair call, they often fail to deliver anything ;-)

For players new to the game I believe CAU's number is in their complaint policy. Another only available on their website.

What was the criteria for double points.... What was their target participants.....
What made you eligible?

I received the double points offer twice (September and October). A few months earlier I accepted a 0% 'cheque to self' offer. I deposited the cheque into my high interest account and I paid only the minimum repayment for several months. I assume a drop in card activity triggers the offer.

Long time reader, first time poster here.....So finally pulled the trigger on this one trough the F&F link at the eleventh hour (27th Oct or so). It didn't take long before I got a call to confirm a couple of details (funny question about how long I have been working on the same industry?). The person who called said I would hear back from them with an answer within three days....Three weeks later, got the approval, so pretty happy with that, though not looking forward to the customer service if that was any indication of their promise delivery and timely response.

Looks like the offer is now gonskis!

Unfortunately for me I applied for the Signature card but was issued with the Platinum which cannot enrol into QFF Rewards.

Anyone have some tips on the best way to move up to Signature? I exceeded the minimum requirements by a significant amount....

So it has come into second year of ownership and I get a another call to give me $20K for 6months interest free.
I have other cards to use.
If I accept the offer will this be recorded as a negative in my credit history score?????
Is this anything that I'm missing other than:
1. No points for 6 months
2. Must pay back min amount each month?
3. Understand no fees or charges for accepting offer?

I presume you mean a Balance Transfer, if so no record on your credit file. Comprehensive Reporting (when the banks get around to it) will mean the Credit Bureau has information on your credit limit but NOT your balance. Drawing the money (or not) makes no difference to what will be recorded.

With Citi, keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed.

Agreed and what do you really expect when they give you a card free. Any service at all to me seems incredible given what they are giving away.

Has anyone on the Platinum been offered upgrade to the Signature yet? I'm keen for the extra point earn - been spending heaps lately

I called up about 6+ months ago and just told them I wanted to cancel. They asked what they could do.. I said Signature Fee free for life... a week later I had the card.

One thing that struck me the other day as Westpac pulled their Earth cards, it that fee free for life is for the life of the product, not your life. If this all gets too expensive for Citi, they just drop the product.

Not knowing the full details, but I would take it if there are no strings attached.

So i took the offer of $20K but they are sending me a cheque...I asked why they cannot put it in my citibank plus account and it's policy when not having money come in "balance transfer"????
Anyways they said 4-7 days to receive it and then I suppose when I deposit it in bank account it will take another 3 days to clear/get to the account I want....
He said the 6 months is up 20th May 2015......but when will the first interest payment be required?
My current account cycle 22nd of each month or now the 20th of each month?

IME it takes 7-10 days to get the cheque. Allow up to 5 business days to clear, depending on the financial institution.

Your statement/due date does not change. Interest will be charged from the end of the 6 months period (calculated on a daily basis).

So based on the info above will I be making the first payment before I actually receive the money?
Or the cheque actually has to clear before they will be requesting min monthly payment...which will be after the 22nd....following statement
