What? No posts for three days?

I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms.

The silence is deafening!

I guess people are resting content now that most of them have all of the points owed to them. I personally have been too busy preparing for the house move that I am finishing off this weekend to follow up with the FOS after the latest development in my case. If you're that bored I'll keep you posted!

Yes, I think that's about it - there are a lot of people that now have all their points - and the processes for those that don't have all their points is painfully slow that we're not posting constantly. I'm drafting the "I'm still in dispute with Amex" letter for the FOS - and will ask them to arbitrate.

I imagine it will be like the Citibank thread that had the odd post here and there as folk went through the process.

There are also posters with whom Amex has stated that they will post points owed to...but where this has yet to be done.

So we are just waiting to see if they post.

Current status;
No bonus points since Sept 23
Pocced later with small points deducion
Suspended and ask to justify tx.
Multi-page explanatory letter sent to Amex justifying all spend
Re-instated with letter indicating that all points earnt will be awarded
In limbo waiting......

as for me I am about to prepare my FOS case.

My situ:

Registered 16 Sept 5/5000
Reg 17 Sept 10/5000
Rang and cancelled 10/5000, confirmed left on 5/5000 (Got CSU details)

Rang 21 Sept and again confirmed 5/5000 (got CSU persons details)

Got awarded points on 5/5000 till approx 24/9.

Got poced later on.
Got letter putting me to 10/5000
Challenged it
January got letter from Amex leaving me on 10/5000

Will go to FOS to get put back on 5/5000 per T and C's

(Funny thing is, they have paid more than I would be due on 10/5000 but several hundred 000' less than due on 5/5000. So off I go to challenge.

For anyone interested, here was my situation.

Rec'd postcard for 5k/10T in Sept, read online about 5k/5t and registered for that instead on 18 Sept (only in the one promo).

Abt 10k points posted b4 23/24 Sept but then no more. Started to read this thread and wonder what was going on.

Left it for a while, spending as normal (and got an extra card for my wife for the upcoming Xmas shopping). In Nov rec'd another postcard inviting me to be on Xmas promo. Called Amex to express concern I got a promo postcard when I should be on 5K/5T promo already - they verfied that I could only be on one promo and I was on the better one anyway with points to be paid in the "near future".

Early December I got the letter stating ineligible to enrol in MYREWARD and put back on MYBONUS 5k/10T. Read on forum many getting this letter and started to draft a response to Amex in line with Ts and Cs but before I got to send I got the 2nd letter stating "admin error" and I was put back on 5K/5T. Just to be sure called AMEX and first CSR said I wasn't on any promo that he could see at all (). Finally got him to speak to MR and they said I was on "correct" promo.

End December got remaining Sept points and what I figure was abt 50% October points so left it and see what would happen. End Jan/start Feb got points for Nov/Dec - also spot on at 50%.

Called Amex last week and explained to CSR abt my calc of 50% points for Oct/Nov/Dec and told them of confirmation letter of 5K/5T. Faxed that in and now one week later I have all remaining points I believe I was owed.

Moral of the story - stick to your guns especially if you have the "admin error" letter and provide it to CSR/MR as proof. I didn't need to involve the FOS, but understand many may not be so lucky.

Good luck to everyone... and thank god for not having to check this thread and my MR balance 3 times a day anymore :)

Unfortunately i missed out on the offer however i am curious as to how many points some people have racked up

Hi jingles,

I collected 440,000 for September 570,000 for October, 350,000 for November and 520,000 for December.

Some one else got 800,000+ points Sep-Dec, and many people made about 500,000 points

This promotion was certainly the promotion of the century

Well after countless phone calls to Amex, I have finally got all of my points from the 5K/5T promotion.

Having been suspended for no good reason, then re-enrolled (due to the infamous "administration error), I can actually breathe easy.

Best of luck to those who have not gotten their hard earned points yet. I will say DO NOT GIVE UP. I literally had to hound them on a daily basis, note my conversations with every Amex staff member, record time & date, etc just to get the points I fairly deserved.

Now I just need to find a flight to book...

Well I thought that my issues had been resolved but it appears the saga continues.
Spoke with Executive services today and they are still telling me that because i wasn't targetted with a postcard i am being moved to the Mybonus promotion. This is despite speaking to them 2 weeks ago and being assured that i was on the Myreward promotion and having the points for December paid under Myreward. They claimed to have done another review and will be reclaiming the points they have 'overpaid' me.

The woman denied that there are people who didn't receive a postcard that were paid points under Myrewards.

So I think i have no option but to lodge a complaint with the FOS.

What happened? Did they lock you away for a few days in November?

No, Rodger keeps forgetting how much he earnt each month as per previous posts in this thread. (Bogus claims etc etc - but dont tell Rodger that)

An honest figure of total points earnt would be between a couple of hundred thousand and 600k-800k posted by users here, with a few members slightly exceeding that.

Well my letter from Amex indicated that they would award all points owed to me within 2-3 weeks (of the date of the letter). So by early next week I should be able to tell you.

rodgerbranch - I don't know if anyone has said this, but you really do sound like a complete w@nker. Bragging on here about how many points you have earned whilst others are fighting Amex is just in poor taste.

Thats great you earned your millions of points, but perhaps no need to shout it from the rooftops? Noone likes arrogance to that degree.

I wouldn't worry, he'd like you to believe he made over 1 million points, but it's clearly a fake. You only need to read the drivel on his "wiki" page to know he's trying to wind people up.
