Incorrect. I cancelled all 3 of mine earlier this week over the phone, took about 3 minutes with an operator, including verification that I had held the policies for long enough to be eligible for the 10,000 bonus points. They send out mail confirmation of the cancellation as well.

Oh, I have one that needs to be cancelled so shall have to phone them tomorrow I guess. Wish I’d done it earlier today, but have to go out in a sec :(

Prior to the previous post I had just hung up from a phone converstation where I was told that I had to send a letter in.

That's an old chestnut used by Call Centre staff to get you off the phone:rolleyes:

They're targeting professional groups (well, at least the AMA) with a similar 15,000 point promotion - same conditions.

First lot just came through

18 APR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 15APR11 - - - 10,011 -

Time to cancel, and then perhaps reapply ;)

Considering I took out more than one policy I suspect that may be the only lot, as I got 10K only.

Sorry to hear that, are you planning on fighting them for multiple bonuses?

I’m going to cancel and then look at the terms and work out if reapplying would result in a clean slate.

Looking back at the history the first month only had one policy with points, I think the second was taken out the day after which would have been the 18th, maybe I missed the cut-off and more will come next month? It would appear the 17th is their internal cutoff.

Oh and info for anyone that’s wondering how it credited, as per above, the bonus came through with my third lot of points from a payment. So I am now cancelling before my fourth payment comes out of my account.

Hmm I just had a look at my activity, my second month of points has just come through for me (purchased early February). Strangely, it is only posting for two of my policies. Might have to chase them up on it.

To add further confusion, this posted for me today

18 APR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 15APR11 ---10,009 -
18 APR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 15APR11 ---9 -
18 APR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 15APR11 ---10,010 -

Wonder what happened to the middle policy?*

Moreover, which one is the middle policy??

*Only got 3 policies

Thats good news, more than one bonus!

10,000 Bonus Points With New OnePath Life Insurance

Got mine today as well :)

Hmmm, well then that is a bit annoying, i took out one policy, sure it was roughly the same time as the rest of everybody (around 17 January or so), then took out 3 more about a week later... but all i got today was two more points from payments come through on my activity list...

Why the points come through all scew whiff i don't know, makes tracking stuff friggin hard!!! but now i might need to call them up and just make sure i was properly registered for the offer (which i'm sure i confirmd several times before in phone calls about this, and hopefully some points will come through shortly, or it maybe another whole month?!?!)

I took out my policy 10th Feb. On my Qantas application it shows:

8 APR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 15APR11 - - - 13 - 18 APR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 15APR11 - - - 20 - 18 APR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 15APR11 - - - 9 -

16 MAR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 10MAR11 - - - 13 - 16 MAR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 10MAR11 - - - 20 - 16 MAR 11 ONEPATH INSURANCE 10MAR11 - - - 9

So I reckon on the third 'deduction' from my credit card I'll get my 10k per policy then.

edit: so the people who got your 10k points - when did you roughly take out your policy?
