Points posted today as well, after second email follow up. 10,025 points.
Now to see about cashing out the trading account!

had a good result here, signed up Jan 2, contact via email last week and was told they didn't have my QFF number on record, so supplied them with my number and received the 10050 today. I did however send screen shots of my trades, welcome email, qantas registration, and their T&Cs in my first email so maybe this sped things up a bit

Received a call from IG today telling me my bonus points were awarded yesterday and asking me to withdraw my FOS claim:

Can confirm that my points were awarded - they showed today.

To those still trying keep the pressure on them.

Qantas are the promoter so one would/could assume they are all on the same page etc so someone is responsible they each can't point the bone at the other
I have been called today and the 10,000 points are posting

10,000 Points posted and if you look at the Qantas Points promo you will find it has been updated to refer to also using the link. Looks like my argument was a valid one.

I rang late last week as my 6-week window was up, they suggested they would post on Monday but by the end of the day they hadn't. I checked again on Tuesday and they were there. Sorted!

Now to cancel my account right?!

Why cancel?

Is anyone else having troubles depositing from PayPal? It is only letting me select my bank account not Amex card as payment method? Maybe they have stopped accepting Amex?

Yes looks like its game over, it was nice while it lasted big shout out to Dr Ralph for the discovery. I wonder if it was IG, Paypal or Amex that put the stop to it :(

Looks like the good times are over.

I cannot deposit via paypal using AMEX but it will take my VISA card.

Thanks for the points IG. I'm glad I went hard whilst this opportunity was available. :)

I wonder if there are any other share trading accounts out there will allow AMEX via Pay Pal. Might be worth exploring.

Was thinking the same thing. Hopefully find one that doesn’t charge any deposit fee

I think that's actually the last thing you want. It would be much more preferable to find a company that charges a fee slightly above their cost. This way everyone is making money and it's far more likely to continue for more than a couple of months.

Good Point. Such a shame was only two deposits (50k Amex points) short of my intended redemption. PM me if you find any other trading companies accepting Amex or other ways to ‘buy points’....

So, IG have just confirmed to me that AMEX requested Paypal to block their cards from being used for any deposit to financial services using the Paypal service.

Boooo.

thanks to Dr.Ralph for the insight, this allowed me to gain some points I needed for a suites redemption.
If any other option gets discovered I too would like a pm, it always fun to play the game...until someone takes our bat and ball
