10,000 Bonus QFF Points for opening an IG Share trading account

I opened an account in good faith (that I intend to keep as it's my first foray into share trading) about 2 weeks ago, guy rang up and confirmed my QFF, and have traded but still no points and still no answers to my emails to them asking why

Getting the “you must withdraw to PayPal” email from them. Never really used PayPal before other than for this IG Account so forgive the stupid question but if I withdraw to PayPal does the cash go straight back onto my AMEX or will it sit in PayPal and be able to be withdrawn to my bank account? Any fees?

Funds go to your paypal account. You can spend those funds or transfer to your bank account. No fees.

Lodged $ 2,000
Did a buy and then sold a couple of days later
Net result is $ 2,000 after buying and selling costs turned into $ 1,999 that turned into 50 points that will turn into 10,000 points in 5 or 6 weeks
seems like a good deal to me

The link still mentions the 10K QF offer. I guess it can’t be tested till after Christmas now.

My reasoning is that if it still shows it after logging in through the ig website then it is still current BUT take your own risks when deciding if you are going to register

That doesn't follow. Displaying the terms of an offer does not mean the offer is still open.

I've never noticed an expiration date hence why I raised my earlier post about OzBargain.

It's not just displaying the terms, though, it's a great big advertisement.

I emailled them to ask and the offer is still on. Here’s their reply:

“Thanks for your email.

There is no stated finish date at this point in time. If you wish to enjoy this promotion, you can open an account with you and meet the requirement needed to enjoy this promotion.

As mentioned by my colleague in the earlier email, you can fine the full terms of the Qantas offer at IG-Qantas Frequent Flyer partnership terms and conditions

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us. Alternatively, please visit the IG Community where you can share ideas, knowledge and experience with other like-minded traders.”

Signed up on the 18th, Bpayed 130$, traded on the 20th once funds were in.

I made $1.50 in 24hrs on BHP, paid my fees. Withdrew money back to my account took 2 days and points arrived today.
Really good promo thanks.

Joined on 14th Dec and I now have the 25 trading points (x2) but not the 10k yet. Have never had a share account so hopefully they will come through in time-they clearly have my QFF account linked

Me too, sold on 11 December and still nothing! Annoying really especially when others got points sooner.

Applied on the 19th, traded on 21st. Got the 10,050 pts today. Thanks everyone for the tip!
