10,000 Woolworths rewards points for a travel insurance policy.

Yeah there was no limit mentioned and it's quite easy to plan weekends away.

I haven't done my AFCA complaint yet, mainly worried about my EDR account being banned for life
Given the insurance is done through NIB (who purchase the points from WW), I don't think the risk of this is very high. Also (having spoken with a few Everyday Rewards team members about this), they seem just as frustrated with NIB as I am.

Annoyingly, it's EDR claiming it's their Fair Play Policy that prevents the awarding of more than 30k bonus points. I don't see why I should have to deal with NIB in relation to EDR policy or missing EDR points.

Was the fair play policy mentioned in the promotion terms?

Not the terms for the promotion but their general terms and conditions at the time stated the following:
You agree that you will not use any offer or promotion in an excessive, unreasonable or fraudulent manner.

If we determine, acting reasonably, that you have used an offer or promotion in an excessive, unreasonable or fraudulent manner, we may cancel, revoke or limit your right to enjoy the offer or promotion immediately and without prior notice to you.

I bought 14 policies across 4 family accounts....each account is missing 1 lot of 10,000 EDR points (5000 QF points).....so I should have received 140,000 EDR points (70,000 Qf points) but so far have only received 100,000 EDR points (50,000 Qf points).

Total cost: $441. If I only end up getting 50,000 QF pts, I think I'm ahead but obviously would prefer the additional missing 20,000 QF pts

Last points posted: 15 Feb. Difficult to work out which policies did not get the points!

So basically 6 weeks....I'm still inside this window....

I might leave it....still way ahead esp after the win mention in post #: 168

I don't think it's even a thing. I can't see any reference to it, or to 30k maximum, anywhere in any T&Cs so that seems fairly arbitrary, and their definition of "excessive". Post #75 has a screenshot of the promo T&Cs and I'm guessing the highlighted link to the "Everyday Rewards T&Cs" would take you to the same page linked by @VantageXL.

Not sure it's reasonable for them to have those T&Cs in the background, then, without any notification, only allow three lots of points but then continue to allow purchases of subsequent policies that appear to be eligible for points.

Anyone have any luck pursuing this so far? Have had an unproductive discussion with their Facebook team. Currently awaiting a reply after I informed them that the fair go policy was not mentioned in the promotion terms and that the fair go policy does not make any effort to define what reasonable etc means. Suggested they cut to the chase and just award me the points rather than force me to go to AFCA where I will demand compensation in addition.

I'm starting to get some traction through my AFCA complaint - finally seems like my last two policies (4 and 5 out of 5) will be paid out.

After getting a similar run-around to you and now being referred to the fair play policy, I am at the point of lodging a complaint with AFCA. Can I ask which firm you lodged it against? I can see no option on their online complaints portal to select Everyday Insurance.

Travel Insurance policies are issued by Pacific International Insurance Pty Ltd, ABN 83 169 311 193 and administered by nib Travel Services (Australia) Pty Ltd (nib), ABN 81 115 932 173, AFSL 308461.

I have just submitted an AFCA complaint for one of the accounts, under the Wife's name....

She received 3 points, but is owed 4 more, will see how it goes

I’m being told by Everyday Insurance to lodge it against Hollard Insursnce Company Pty Ltd. Might have to call AFCA for guidance here.

EDIT: they have come back with another email correcting this. Now advising nib so will go with them.

Have now lodged with AFCA. Let’s see how this ends up. 😂

AFCA will take about 5 working days to get back to you..

I left a 0 or 1 for the NPS score survey from EDR and I replied back and forward a few times and then I advised was raising an AFCA complaint.

First email - Everyday Insurance from Woolworths has partnered with nib Travel Services to provide your policy, which is underwritten at Pacific International Insurance Pty Ltd.

Second email - nib Travel manages the claims and complaints processes on behalf of Everyday Insurance, but does not handle the provision of Everyday reward points. I have passed your request on to the team so that they can assist.

If you are dissatisfied with our review or the review process, you may seek external review by contacting the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) within 2 years of the date of this letter, subject to its rules.

I'll let AFCA work out which pathetic company will award me the points.

Once this one is resolved I'll lodge it for my account for about 150k points............

How did you go with this one after NIB claimed it’s not their responsibility as they only issue the policies? I’ve just received the same response to my AFCA complaint. Trying to argue it shouldn’t even be considered by AFCA. 😂

EDIT: Anyone else have any success once they got to the case management stage (where I am now at)?

Everyday Insurance now asking for copies of flight bookings to enable them to review my concerns further. 😂
Is that even necessary?

You can buy insurance for fun if you wanted to. Don't necessarily need to travel.

They are playing hardball! I don't like your chances but good luck. I'm still owed 4x 10K EDR points over 4 accounts but long gave up..

If they claim that you're not eligible for the points because you can't provide flights (proof of travel), then ask for a refund. Either from them or a chargeback. They can't have their cake and eat it.

Now a veiled threat to suspend or cancel my Everyday Rewards account. Well I get zero worthwhile offers anyway so happy to be the Guinea pig here. Will continue pursuing through AFCA and see what happens. Suspect the threat won’t amount to anything but if it does I don’t really care. 😂
