10 QFF Points per $ - Gift Vouchers are back!

The silly season may have started a bit early at QANTAS. Subject of e-mail I received around 6am:

"Hurry! Gift voucher promotion ends 27 December 2014".

Anyone know if there is a minimum to create a voucher from the remaining credit? My "leftover" seems to have been swallowed up by QF.

Doesn't appear to be a limit in the terms. Customer care voucher have a limit of $2 for residual value. I assume you were over that amount?

Nope, had $1 remaining and it has vanished. I know its only $1 but its a bit cheeky.

I'd ring in this case to make the point. There is no limit listed in the terms and conditions.

Would appear to be a simple Xmas holiday tpyo Droplr • Screen Shot 2013-12-24 at 10.57.37.png with 2014 in the subject. The body of email and T&C at bottom clearly show the original date of 27th Dec 2013.

19 minutes on the phone, and apparently it will take up to a week for the voucher to be created because it's for "an unusual amount". She did try the "vouchers arent created for those small amounts" but I read out the T&Cs. I don't need the dollar but its the principle (plus it'll save me a booking fee somewhere along the way).

Took the plunge myself this morning. 1 voucher for 2 pax @ $250 each. Issued within 5 minutes, used within 10 minutes with an extra $50 on cc. Too easy.

If I was SF I'd stock up on these before the 27th for sure.

From my experience last year, the points should show up in the FF account in mid-Janaury provided that you have not redeem your voucher too quickly. If you have redeemed the voucher already, a quick call to the QFF service centre may be required for manual crediting.

The promo hasn't finished yet. The points will not show before the promo finishes.

The points also will not show in a credit card statement.

I haven't yet rused a re-issued voucher to see if I will still get the same problems as last year where I cannot use Manage My Booking once I book a flight with the re-issued voucher.

Where do you fly from? I can try one of my vouchers to see if it'll find flights.

edit: It'll let me select flights PER- KNX and successfully did a dummy booking all the way to the payment page. That's as close to a yes as I can give you.
