Why? This is a well know issue. The voucher itself states the correct expiry.

It is misleading and confusing though. What if you only pay attention to one of the dates and note that down and keep that date in view, and then at a later date, discover there's "another" date? If I had a screen shot or official email from Qantas (which I do) which showed a certain date, then I'd be sticking to this date. This is what happens when the re-issued Vouchers come through. The email and everything visible shows a new expiry date. It's not until you go to redeem the new voucher that it shows the original expiry linked to the original purchased voucher. I think it's misleading.

My why, was why take screen shots? The only screen shot relevant date is wrong, when purchasing. The correct date is in the email when first purchasing. So why screen shot the wrong date?

They give you the voucher reference number immediately that the payment is processed. It is possible to realise immediately if the payment has been made or not by being presented with a reference number. On your first failed attempt did you get a reference number? If you did then you may have 2 vouchers.

This is an important point, you don't need to wait for the email. All that is required is that reference number. Always write down that number when purchasing.

The voucher refererences from the failed transactions were sent but no vouchers have arrived unlike my previous purchases.

When entered into the redeem a voucher page the reference numbers go to a page that tells me that the voucher is u available as the transaction is still being processed.

The worst that can happen is that I may end up with a few extra vouchers ( and the extra QFF points) for my 2014 travels whilst saving me from QF's outrageous credit card boking fees!

I managed to buy 11 $500 vouchers.

It is not like I need any more Qantas points. Now for the challenge to use the vouchers before they expire.

they took an awful long time to post last year.

One of my examples from last year...

Must have been a few sweeps, mine came through jan 14 for a purchase just after they came online with the offer.

John, if you don't need the points then why buy so many high value vouchers...?
By my calculations I will need the flights if I continue to commute to Brisbane.

If Qantas are still around in a few years then the risk pays off.

Not sure where to post, but here seems to be a good spot...

When using a voucher, it looks like it books into Fare Class E (EPTSALE)

Is this fare class upgradable...? If not can it be made upgradable by calling up...? (There is U Availability & J Classic Availability, but tit seems this ticket won't allow an upgrade...?)

Anyone know the rules on this fare class...?

Last year most of my points posted in 2 weeks

Some didn't and I sent an email off after a few months and they just turned up a few days later without even a reply to my email!

Apart from the email that is sent when the voucher is created, where else can I, or should I, see the voucher details and the voucher reference numbers? I would have thought that they would be visible online in My Bookings, or somewhere similar.

Does anyone one have any views?

You should see it in My Bookings

If you don't call QF and they can find it

I think I am having the same problem as this - there are 5 business reward seats showing as available however the upgrade request fails (BNE-MEL dom flight in Feb). :(

I think it's not possible to request an upgrade on a ticket booked with a voucher...

Do tickets booked with vouchers book into a "Classic Award" class...?

Frequent Flyer - Using Points - Flight Upgrades - About Flight Upgrades

Flight Upgrade Awards may be requested on most Qantas Any Seat Awards but are not available on Qantas Classic Awards.*

* Flight Upgrade Awards are not available on Classic Awards or on international airfares booked in E, N, O, Q or X class, which includes some Qantas Any Seat Awards and some international Red e-Deal fares.

Bofter, can you confirm what fare class has been ticketed with your booking using the voucher...? It's not "E" by any chance is it...?

I was hoping to use the BA method to put in my QFF number - but showing an error. Looks like a call to QF CS to add manually...

P.S. Just took 2 mins to add via a CS who had obviously had one of us previously, as he laughed when I told him what I wanted and he said "you only have 4 - phew, that's nothing :D"

All done - refreshed FF account and they all show:
